While I would recommend the Ascott for families with children or for people intent on staying on a weekly, monthly basis and could cook their own breakfast, I would not be inclined to stay for an overnighter as there are other hotels in the area that provide a nicer breakfast area and breakfast for those not permanent residents for the same amount of money to stay.
The rooms were large with plenty of space which would come in handy for those traveling with families. Equipped with a kitchen, these rooms/apartments come in handy if staying more than a few days. Staff was pleasant to work with.
The air conditioning unit in the bedroom we were in was noisy so we turned it off and turned on the one in the living area to compensate. The breakfast was outside and sliced fruit, bread, pastries were uncovered thereby allowing insects easy access. It would appear that if one ate breakfast after 8:00 am, the food had not been replenished and did not appear fresh.
