Poor service and old hotel

I will not recommend the hotel due to:
1) poor welcoming service: the receptionist refused to welcome me before the check in time. He refused to even talk to me when i was enquiring whether I could pay for an early check in. When I asked the manager he could not even tell me at what time I'll be able to check in.
2) old hotel: the superior room has lots of damaged furniture. Not even a flat screen tv.
3) cheap breakfast: no salad variety, supermarket sliced cheese with the plastic still on, bread not fresh, pastry not fresh, toaster malfunctioning, juices diluted with water.

Close to activities and shopping malls and eating places. Long queue and short staff at check in. Took a while to get checked in. Room air conditioning not cool enough. Breakfast has excellent and ample varieties.

Hotel is clean and bed is comfortable. Shower takes some time to heat up.
Shopping Tip:
Hotel is in Jalan Bukit Bintang itself where the main shopping area is.

Nice Hotel to stay .. friendly staff.. bit dated though...traffic is murder during rush hour.. avoid check in during rush hour....

the rooms are big, in the heart of shopping district

i loved my room and the stay, eventhough it's just 1 night but it's worth it! breakfast was so-so, orange juice was warm, it should be cold and fresh. the remaining is okay, amenities in the room is adequate!
Restaurant Tip:
plenty of restaurants outside the hotel, so dont worry of getting hungry!

we feel comfortable in the hotel's room, but the price always change every days, like this problem, we stayed at there for 2 days but we will expand for 2 days again but the price to be expensive so we move to another hotel

we reached the hotel at 2 pm on 1/6/12. we were not allowed to check in until 2.30pm as the counter staff said it was early even though counters were free. by the time we returned at 2.30 pm, the counters were crowded. we waited till 3 pm for check-in as counters were very busy.
suggest counter staff to process check-in and we will return to rooms later with our luggages.
Shopping Tip:
very convenient for shopping. tour buses and coaches can fetch us to and fro from hotel. we have enjoy nice food around the hotel areas.
we always stay at royal bintang at least twice a year when we go to kl.
this hotel is "value for money". please let us know if there is promotion especially school holidays.
