Good location and pricing. ( nearby city crowd. a walk distance to hawker street whereby many things to see and shop. The rate is reasonable and the the service quite ok )

this hotel area is too busy with a lot of traffic all the time is hard to travel sometime that I don't like .

This hotel is in the centre of Kuala Lumpur Heart. All the shopping complex is around the hotel. And u may try out Malaysian Food at Jalan Alor. Jalan Alor is just next Road infront of the Hotel.

Shopping Tip : All the shopping complex is around the hotel..... such as : Time square, Imbi Plazza, Sungai Wang, Lot 10, BB Plaza and etc...

Room cleanliness in OK, hotel location is OK

Breakfast need to add more veriety

I heard some comment from the Internet saying that the hotel condition is no good but luckily for i really satisfied with all area - room cleanliness, hotel location, staff hospitality. Breakfast is OK but I would like to suggest additional kind of food. I would like to stay again in the same hotel in future trip.

Shopping Tip : If you have bought so many things, do not worry since the next shop is selling many size and kind of bags. I guess it is convenient for last minute bag shopping.

close proximity to malls and attractions. powerful water jet in bathroom.

hotel is showing its age. staff not too friendly. basement 4 of hotel carpark is not very accessible. hotel seems to be situated in a shady area(red light district)

Hotel is okay for short stay of 1-2 nights. Its very value for money but service could be improved. Hotel is also slightly showing its age. Really got me thinking if this hotel is safe. Hotel is situated in a rather central location so various attractions are very nearby.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : plenty of night market and food stall nearby. Just ask around. Avoid taxi as they quote a rather exorbitant price(15rm) to petaling street.

Value for price

Limited parking space

Hotel was value for money. We arrived early as we wanted to escape the heavy traffic jam and rain and to our surprise, we still managed to get the room at 1210 hrs. Room was cleaned and maintained well. The cleaners and room service were very polite and courteous when we pass by them many times in a day.

Shopping Tip : The major shopping centres were within walks from the hotel. We had a great time checking out "The Pavillion Mall" as it was soaked up in the Christmas mood.

The hotel is located in good location , easy to eat and go to shoping. The hotel is quite old and need to do renovation. Overall of service and location is good but if talk about price or 4star hotel, this hotel is only 3star and should reduce the price. If you want hotel in same area and same price, i recommend Capitol hotel.Comfortable hotel with a good strategic location to the hustle and bustle of Bukit Bintang but still retains some peace as it is at the end of the street. Lots of local food and shopping can be found. Pictures in website however look better than the real thing - but its clean, quiet and safe - good enough.Good Location Monorail & bus stand are in the walkable distance of 5 mins. Taxi available just at the door step.

- Decent proximity to good food

- 24 hour construction taking place - Smoking floors smell absolutely disgusting - Extremely shabby - Rude staff - No free WiFi

My friend and I had chosen to spend our last night traveling together in Kuala Lumpur, and stayed at the Royale Bintang on another friend's recommendation. It was without a doubt the worst hotel experience I've ever had. - First we were made to wait in the lobby for half an hour while some checks were made into our reservation. - The rooms we were given were on one of the smoking floors which absolutely reek and are stained yellow. - Upon returning to my room around 11pm, I was shocked to hear heavy power tools and construction going on somewhere upstairs. - Reception repeatedly ignored my phone calls, so i had to go down in person and complain about the noise. - The staff then refused to believe me when i said there was construction taking place. - The construction was finally stopped at 1:30am, though only until 3:30am when it started again, and again the night manager didn't believe me. Neither of us slept very much that night, and were completely shattered the next day. The noise was so loud that you could hear it from inside the elevator 3 floors below. The whole floor must have been experiencing this. To add insult to injury, my friend was given a new room the next day on the 17th floor which had a bucket outside the door collecting liquid that was dripping from the ceiling. overall negative vibe on our whole experience of Kuala Lumpur. I fail to see why anyone would put up with this kind of treatment - it's not even that cheap a place. There are so many other accommodation options in Kuala Lumpur. waste of time and money and patience.

Restaurant Tip : Plenty of good food nearby at Jalan Alor, plus excellent dim sum at Imbi Palace.

Nightlife Tip : at royale bintan ,u can enjoy ur nightlife at bintan street (only 50m walk from hotel). many resto / food centre with the cheap price (also expensive) , many shops , etc. in bintan stret so many people and tourism come to enjoy bintan street night. also u can go to alor (one of the best nightlife except bintan street).

The hotel is located conveniently near major shopping complexes around the Bukit Bintang area and within short walking distance with easy access to a variety of food outlets. In fact, a taxi-driver told me that along that stretch of Jalan Bukit Bintang, this hotel is the most "classy" of the tourist class hotel ( please note though that Jalan Bukit Bintang is being cut across in half by Jalan Sultan Ismail, and "the other end" is the more "glitzy" side where luxury hotels such as Ritz-Carlton & modern shopping complex like "The Pavilion" are located ). Anyway, the rate I paid for is generally OK for the standard of the hotel room I was allocated (breakfast not included). If given the same price, I may choose the latter but still think it's a good hotel to consider for a short break.

As mentioned by another reviewer I've read somewhere, I too had problems with the magnetic room access card when I tried to go into my room. In fact I was given 2 cards and both cards didn't work and I had to drag my luggage all the way back down to the reception for assistance. The furniture in the room I was allocated was not very old but you can get a feel of how old the hotel might be. Certain areas of the room could do with a bit more lighting. Also as another reviewer has mentioned, no slippers were provided. The shoe mitt was soiled and the box containing supposedly the shower cap & sewing kits were actually empty. The housekeeping staff should have at least check those. The curtain veil railing also came down on one side. Another thing to mention is that I've requested a room with the twin tower view but was told that I can't get such a room as the price I booked at is not eligible. Instead I was given a room facing the pool but also facing the back of the Berjaya Plaza & residential building Sun Complex, which was not as pleasant as you can see a lot of rubbish everywhere.

There's a number of foot reflexology & masssage shops along the road outside the hotel which you can try after all the shopping. Or you could try the spa in the hotel itself called RimBa Spa. They opened late with their last appointment at 11pm. This is good timing as most shops and spas would have been closed by around 9 to 10pm. So you could enjoy a relaxing massage/treatment after dinner/shopping/early drinks before you retire to your room upstairs. However, in addition to the price of the treatment you've chosen, do be prepared to foot out a little extra as tips for your therapist, as informed by the receptionist after you've made payment at the counter before your treatment. This I find gives a little "pressured" especially since in my country tipping is not required unless the customer themselves insist.

Location is great, and well appointed rooms for the price offering excellent value

Rooms on the small side and would have been good if b'fast was included at a reasonable price.

Was very pleased with this choice. The location was great - very close to restaurants, shops and the monorail. Couldn't have been better! The hotel was good too. Rooms a little on the small side, but clean and nicely appointed, with a very comfortable bed. Would have preferred to have a bath as well as shower, but cant complain at that price! Communal areas showing signs of wear and tear, but overall the hotel was pleasant and professional, with a friendly atmosphere. If you're paying the bill yourself, and want value for money in a respectable hotel then I don't think you can do much better than this!

Restaurant Tip : Some excellent restaurants nearby, particularly in Changkat. Really enjoyed the excellent italian food at Werners!

Great location along Bukit Bintang Street - at the very end of its a bit more peaceful; great restaurant called PapaRich opposite the hotel which serves Malaysian food and is quite a nice hang out place and provides free internet; gym had quite a wide selection of equipment; clean and quiet

Staff were not too helpful or customer service minded; internet charges are very expensive; concierge arranged for a taxi to the airport with a flat rate charge of 85 RM only to find out later that it was a scam - should have been meter charged and would have been cheaper (taxi driver told us to not tell anyone we were not metered upon arrival at airport and that's how we found out)!

Comfortable hotel with a good strategic location to the hustle and bustle of Bukit Bintang but still retains some peace as it is at the end of the street. Lots of local food and shopping can be found. Pictures in website however look better than the real thing - but its clean, quiet and safe - good enough. Staff weren't too helpful or friendly though. Concierge also arranged for a public taxi which charged us on a flat rate where it should have been metered - thought we could trust the concierge but I guess NOT!

Restaurant Tip : PapaRich Restaurant opposite the hotel is a chill place to hang out and also serves great Malaysian food.

The hotel is central to all shopping. Service is good Clean and staff are very friendly

Some of the furniture and fixtures need upgrading as they look old.

The hotel has always been my fiurst choise whenever I am in Kuala Lumpur due to its location. The friendly staff and the super service are the most important factor in my choice of hotels.

location is ok, but not that ok. Good TV channel, but not that good.

The hotel condition is very old and need renovation. Small tv. Old facilities.

There are lots of cheaper hotel which i assume have the same service of royale bintang. we are on our last trip of our honeymoon from thailand, and we asked a small decoration of the room for honeymoooners. When i entered the room, nothing was prepared for me and the hotel staff didn't say a word. Trully disappointed service. i wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Find other hotel near by.

Shopping Tip : Go to sungei wang, lot of hing that you can buy. you can have your dinner at alor street. Tons of food that you can choose.
