Even better the second time around
Spacious, luxury appointed rooms, helpful, friendly staff, great buffest breakfast/lunch, beautiful pool and very handy location.

we stayed for christmas 2010 and decided to return for a luxury easter break. the hotel is not a concrete high rise but built in asian style with charm, intimacy and reserve. the deluxe room is spacious withy a ++king bed and all amenities - extra towels and water never a problem. you can have a holiday without ever leaving the hotel - it has a wide choice of restaurants/bars and the pool deck is open and sunny with a view of the towers. or, it's just a short stroll to the shopping in bukit bintang and the night hawker stalls in jalan alor. nothing is a trouble to the staff and they make you feel very welcome. it's quiet, efficient and we would definitely come again.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The buffet in the Warisan Restaurant is spectacular - every food style and taste is catered for and if not, they will make it for you. Breakfast or lunch, it's great value for foodies or those with a bigger appetite.

our room was beautifull with a huge comfortable king size bed.
we were so glad to see the staff gretting us as we returned from our long and tiring days out in the big city!! they made us feel very at home.

this hotel is very grand and luxurious for what you pay for. a great deal for kl and such high standards. the breakfast buffet does live up to its hype for a huge array of food options. the pool is lovely with a view of the towers and a huge spa just alongside of it. the rooms are very spacious and very clean. and the conceirge desk was extremely helpful! the location was very central. we can't recommend this hotel enough if your looking for a great value for money hotel in kl!
Nightlife Tip:
The famous rooftop pool bar at Traders hotel is just walking distance from the hotel.

The Royale Chulan Hotel Kuala Lumpur

One of those places where you drive up the driveway and say "wow", walk into the lobby and say "wow", get into the room and say "wow", and lie on the bed and say "wow".
Pretty amazing place to look at!
Not really close to any public transport though.
Plus we arrived at 1am (they were informed we'd be checking in at this time) and it took quite a while to check us in. Also called up room service that night only to be informed that almost everything on the "all night menu" was "not available today". Ended up having to walk the streets for about 45 mins in the middle of the night trying to hunt down some dinner.
When you stay at a place like this, and for the cost, you would expect the service to be a lot better.

this is the nicest hotel we have stayed in so far. coming from australia, the cost of this 5 star hotel seemed incredibly good value for the level of quality. the buffet breakfast was immense and all the staff were always cheerful and ready to assist. the location is quite good, just a short walk from the impressive bukit bintang shopping district. the monorail was about 15 minutes walk from the hotel which, along with rail connections, was our preferred method of transportation around the city. if you are looking for a high level of comfort during your stay in kl then this hotel comes highly recommended.

Great location with an awesome view of the towers

Great service by staff, nice rooms. We had a great view of the petronas towers from our room. The location is great for restaurants and shopping at the Pavilion.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel taxi to the airport was very expensive compared to normal taxis. I would recomend booking a taxi to save some money.

our first experience at the hotel was through a recommendation of a couple that travelled together with us. we fell in love with the hotel almost immediately! big rooms & excellent service from the staff!
