Great Location - Room Great - Service not so grat

I was really excited about staying at the Traders Hotel, as I had seen such glowing reviews on the internet. When we arrived the hotel was in a great location and the staff were friendly. The problem was, we had booked a room for 3 x adults (I was traveling with 2 sisters). When we checked in, they had the wrong information so I had to explain that there were three of us. That was ok, but when we were shown our room there were only beds for 2 people. We called reception to make sure we would have another bed. They said they would look into it. We went and explored the city and when we returned (approx 9PM) there was still no bed. I had to call 2 more times to get the bed set up - and when they did, they made a bed out of the sofa. Hmmm - wasn't impressed.
Anyway, I'm sorry for blabbing on about that. It just wasn't good enough.
The rest of the stay was fine. They have a shuttle bus to the shopping center which is handy.
Nightlife Tip:
The Sky Bar is amazing - make sure you get there early to get a good seat.

The hotel is just accross Petronas Towers. If you get a room with a view to the towers you won't regret it. It's just amazing to have this view for your entire stay there. The hotel is really clean and fit for its category. The breakfast has many culinary options. Overall, we were very satisfied with our choise. If I ever go back to KL, I will definetly choose the same hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Being so close to the towers, it will come in handy when you will have to wake up at 6:30 a.m. to queue up for entrance tickets to visit the towers.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. It has one of the best views of the Petronas Towers both during the day and at night and is centrally located to all major shopping centres and is only five minutes walk through a beautiful park to the nearest metro station.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you want to visit the Petronas towers then you need to stay in line at 6am in the morning as tickets are limited even if they are free. The booth opens at 9am and staying at this hotel enabled us to be there at 6am as it was very close by.

Amazing view and great value for money!

one of the best views ever outside and tower view room. definitely worth the extra money for the tower view. great rooms, excellent gym and overall a wonderful experience. would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to stay near the towers.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Get to the towers when they open as tickets sell out very fast and you can't book ahead.

A Superb Hotel!

Wow! what can i say, the service is great, n the facilities is superb!
We arrived at 3pm, they said one of our room wasnt ready yet, so we were adviced to wait at the lounge n have the afternoon tea.. i thought they only got tea n few snacks, but it turned out they got all-u-can-eat snacks, bakery, fruits, coffee, tea, soft drinks.. so the waiting is not really a matter.. LOL
we stayed at traders club twin tower view, kinda disappointed when they said they couldnt get us 2 rooms in the same level, so my wife and i took the one on 31st, and my kids on 25th fl. there are some minor differences, like the views and room features are better on higher floor.
got a breath taking view through our windows at night, where we could see the light illuminates the twin towers n skyscrapers arounds..
if u need to go shopping to KLCC or the twin tower, u can take the shuttle they provide until 10 pm (it's a golf cart, can take up to 8 persons), so u can save energy for shopping instead
they got trainees from hospitality schools, which is not a bad thing, they are eager to serve you with anything you need, with smile always on their faces, they were friendlier the the staffs.. the trainees n staffs can speak english, chinese, and bahasa indonesia too..
n we love the breakfast buffet :D
too bad we didnt have the chance to see the pool n gym..
would absolutely stay there again and recommend it to everyone
Hotel Feature Tip:
ask for traders club room, arrive early, they got 'afternoon tea' at 3.30-5pm.. ask for traders club room on higher floors, they got better view with more comfortable room features. get up early n dont skip the breakfast buffet

we had real good time in the hotel and around. walking trails, shopping view and ease of availability of things near by was great.
hotel service was great and facilities were clean and well kept.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
must visit twin towers and go on the top. book in advance otherwise will have disappointments. cultural shows with local dances was great.

We stayed one night. Service was very good from the moment we walked in. Check in was prompt and bags arrived quickly. We used the baby-sitting service and the sitter was very good. The view from the Skybar is amazing at night and the staff there were fun and attentive.
