As a guest staying in an Executive Suite, I enjoyed the full view of the Twin Towers. Epecially at nights, they sparkle and light up the whole area. The special high tea and cooktail on the 32nd floor is also another reason that attracts me to stay in Traders Hotel every time I visit KL.
Buggy service to KLCC recently seems to be distrupted due to some reasons. The round mirror with a light broke down twice during our short stay of 2 days. And the power supply got tripped once.
This is a second time for our stay in KL Traders Hotel. And so far the experience with the hotel are always pleasant and enjoyable. We are always welcome by well-trained and courteous hotel staff. They also try their best to accomodate our requests, whatever they may be, within short period of time.

Location, friendly staff, cocktail hour, amazing breakfast
They could jazz up the club lounge a little
I'd read great reviews about Traders and I wasn't disappointed. It was more like a five star hotel than a four star and it was in the perfect location - right opposite Petronas towers and a huuuuge shopping mall (heaven after living in Vietnam for a year). The staff were all extremely lovely, the downstairs breakfast selection was incredible, you could get anything from laksa to sushi and everything in between, and I was so glad we got one of the park view club rooms. Amazing view of the towers and free cocktails/wine from 5.30-7.30 in the club lounge. Take advantage of this because booze is heavily taxed in KL and a lot of restaurants don't even sell it (as I unfortunately discovered. Mint tea anyone?)
Hotel Feature Tip : Pay for the park view club lounge. Well worth it!

Standard of rooms, cleanliness, facilities, wonderful staff all consistantly good. We have stayed in this Hotel 20 times and the standard never drops. Well situated in the city for lots of attractions.
They have now ceased the golf trolley service between the Hotel and KLCC from 14.30pm til 17.00pm. I miss it as that is generally when I am coming back to the Hotel in the afternoon heat. That is the ONLY thing slightly negative I can say about this establishement and I guess the management must have a good reason to do it.
I live 200kms south of KL and visit the city on a monthly basis, last week I spent 3 nights in Traders on my own as my husband was in a hospital in the next street!
This Hotel is all round chic, so clean, good food and great staff. First class bed linen, important to me! Big bathrooms very well equipped and lots of toiletries of good standard.
Everytime we go, and we take all our visiting friends there too, the standard is just beyond expectations. Everyone is impressed.
In Traders you are just a short distance from Petronas Twin Towers, they are domiciled at KLCC and you can almost "touch" them from the Club Lounge on the 32nd floor in the Hotel. When the are lite up around 7.00pm the view is spectacular, I never cease to be amazed by it.
Walking to KLCC takes about 5 mins in the heat but the Hotel operates a Golf Trolley back and forward to the Centre. This is free of charge and believe me in the searing heat it is just wonderful not to have to walk back, it runs every few minutes.
Also the Hotel can be accessed from KLCC by a wonderful walkway so if there is a sudden Moonsoon downpour you are dry, fantastic!
You are also very close to lots of other shopping malls, restuarants and the night market.
I have lived in other 5 star Hotels in Kuala Lumpur which have been pretty fantastic but for all round service and standard Traders wins everytime.
Hotel Feature Tip : Book Club rooms if you do not have children, the extra facilities are well worth the money but the larger dining room in Gobo Chit Chat is better at breakfast time for children far bigger choice of items

5 star treatment, excellent customer service
Centrally located
Great Views
Good Food
Good Decor
The In room menu could have had more variety, but the food that they did have was delicious and very affordable. Good value for money. I'm really picking to find a negative as you can see
For a 4 star hotel, this hotel offered excellent service making it great value. The customer service was great, friendly staff willing to out of their way to help. Great Food in the buffett breakfast, in their restaurants and in the in-room dining at very reasonable prices.
Considering its location opposite the Petronas towers in Kuala Lumpur the cost of the room was very good value for money, since we got a view over looking the towers.
Its very centrally located, hence most of the major attractions and fun things to do were nearby. They provide a buggy service to the KL towers, which was ideal in the hot weather.
The room sizes were good and had really good decor.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Kuala Lumpur petronas Towers right opposite the hotel, request a park view room.

Smart Casual Hotel & Interior Design
This is my 2nd visit to KL, Malaysia on a business trip. I enjoy my stay in this hotel. The location is in the center of Kuala Lumpur, back to back to Petronas Twin Towers, and has a golf car to take us to KLCC, the major shopping mall in KL.
I like the style of their staff which are in a smart casual style, also a minimalist reception desk & interior design. The room also wonderful, clean & minimalist design. A free in-room internet connection also plus point for this hotel. The food is great, breakfast as well.
I'd like to stay in this hotel again.

All in all enjoyed the stay. Upgraded to a view of the petronas towers but we specified non smoke and there was a smell of smoke in the room. Nice pool but not open air like the impaina or shangri la. Good service at this hotel, had use of the club lounge, nibbles and drinks etc. Stayed at impiana a few days later and was very similar standard. Great breakfast, sky bar very cool.

View, location, rooftop bar and pool
Service was a little spotty - see review
Everything was great except for one little glitch. I had a great view of the towers, clean room. I loved the rooftop bar at night, and the swimming pool during the day.
The only downside was one encounter with reception staff. I arrived around 9:30 on a Saturday night, and asked if there was anywhere around there where I could eat dinner. He abruptly told me the only place was the mall at the Petronas Towers, but it closes at 10. He then walked away. At this point, having no idea how far it was to the mall, if I could make it. And the way he made it sound, I had no chance of getting there by then. Needless to say, I did make it in about a 7 minute walk, but it would have been nice to know that without the hassle.
Overall, though, good experience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you want to go to the Petronas Tower Skybridge, get there early in the morning. It opens at 8:30 to start giving out tickets, but people start lining up before 7:30AM.

The hotel is clean and convenient. The staff is very friendly.
There is a noisy construction site in front of hotel specially in the morning.
The hotel is 5 minutes walf from KLCC(Twin tower and the shopping mall). You may go to the shopping mall via hotel free shuttle as well. The Skybar is a must see place with a very good view of Twin tower(at night) and interesting indoor pool.

Location, style, service, food, rooms, skybar
1st time at Traders, but this will be my new favourite hotel in KL. Great service and atmosphere, superb breakfast and closness to KLCC shopping. The view if you book a park-view room is world-class. the fact i got an upgrade to a club-room with view both to the park and the city was just a bonus, the review would still be the same and also my guaranteed return to this 1st class hotel.

everything, the roof top bar, bathroom, bed, TV, but mostly the view of the Petronas towers, service from staff
A view of KL that takes your breathe away. Beautiful. Stylish rooms and amazing bath products. LCD TV and great facilities. The service from the staff was fabulous and i was allowed into my room at 8.30 am and given breakfast the day of my arrival and after a 10 hour flight and bus trip it was so needed. Thanks to the Traders Hotel for a wonderful stay i definitely hope i have the pleasure of staying there again !

Centrally located. Very friendly staff. Trendy bar.
The swimming pool in the centre of the bar is not very private.
I would definately recommend the Traders hotel for short stays in Kuala Lumpur. It is centrally located and right next to a park which is perfect for an evening strole after dinner. The room was clean, spacious and modern with a lovely bathroom and great views over the city. The staff were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful - particularly when our tour operator messed up our booking for an excursion to the elephant sanctuary. The reception staff got on the phone and arranged it all for us while we waited in the bar and then came to find us when the driver arrived. If the elephant sanctuary is an excursion which you are planning while in KL there is no need to book before arriving - the hotel can sort it all out for you.
I would recommend upgrading your room for an extra RM100 per night so that you can use the traders lounge for breakfast, afternoon tea and early evening cocktails included within the charge.

The location - cannot be beaten for stunning views of Petronas Towers and easy access to Suria shopping mall.
Free Wifi and helpful business centre on the business floor.
Some good tecchie features in the room - when you pick up the phone the sound automatically goes down on the TV - very clever!
Modern and well furbished bedrooms and public areas.
Friendly helpful staff.
From check-in everything went smoothly, the hotel looked very smart and modern and the staff were very friendly and helpful, and gave lots of good advice and guidance. The same receptionist also noticed us later on near reception and immediately came over to assist us -a nice touch.
When we got up to the room we were very pleased to see that we had a stunning and totally unobstructed view of the Petronas towers above the park, and a window seat ledge on which to sit and view them. The room was well furbished and laid out and very comfortable.
We did not eat in the hotel as there was too much choice awaiting us in KL, but the restaurants looked very good and the selction of food would seem to cater to most tastes.
We were especially grateful for the advice of reception to get to the queue for the Skybridge at 7:30. When we got there there was already a sizeable queue, but we still managed to get in for the first visit at 9am - its well worth a visit.
We would definitely stay here again whenever we were in KL, its an unbeatable location, and with Agoda prices, a really good deal, and in our view, given the position of Traders, the view of the towers must be better than that at the Mandarin Oriental.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : if you get to the skybridge queue early and are near the front of the queue, a member of staff comes around asking if anyone wants tickets for the first trip before you get to the front of the queue. If you have time constraints take them up on it as you get immediately fast tracked through to the visit!
