Awfully Undesirable Resort

This would be my 1st and my last visit to Duta Village. Although the room rate is at a bargainable price but really I rather pay double the price to stay at Swiss Garden Hotel which is ironically located just adjacent of DV.
When I 1st saw the pics from the website I thought the place was still not too bad. But upon checking in it was totally a different story. The chalet rooms were dilapidated,badly maintained,unkempt and dirty.The cleaners didn't even bother to change the bedsheets & pillow covers used by the previous stayer,there were stains & grains of sand on them!There were even leftover food in the mini fridge which had already stank,geez!Airconditioning system was rundown & dusty, toilet condition was even worse!For the complimentary breakfast I really don't wish to comment!
Over all, what this place really needs is a total refurbishment & trained staff.

It was my first time holiday stayed in chalet. Though it was a bit run down, my kids enjoyed the kampong life style. With beach vicinity and the swimming pool less 30 feets away from our chalet, we did have a good time.

1- I just walk in around 3 pm but the rooms are not ready yet
2- On of our rooms with bad odor

its a ok hotel, it seems that the star doesn't belong there. the facilities is all-rite but its not well taken care. most of the things in the hotel provided is old but amazingly still operates.
one of the bed in the room i'm staying, if you sit on it u can feel the spring in it. the hotel should do right for the customer as it a good place for a hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
Don't have to far for food, there Yala Seafood just across the street.

The hotel is still using old funiture n beds, not happy bout the beds. Sad that they hadn't made any upgrades to hotel... Overall i rate three out of five.

near beach, comfort room,

for those who is looking not a high star, affordable, comfortable, and for a relaxation resort or hotel nearby kuantan, i would like to recommend this resort. location is near to a beach. the beach is nice, not too dirty because only two resort/hotel share it.
pros:
comfortable, very quite environment during at night, clean beach, nice pool
cons:
breakfast is average, no any beach activity offer by the resort
