Firstly Riverside boutique hotel as it is aptly named is exactly that..
The rooms provided are perfect as it provide the basic necessities that we get from all other big hotel rooms with a well equipped shower with hot water 24/7, (except the view and a pool ) ;) free wifi an added bonus, selected ASTRO channels, a good quaint restaurant downstairs make it wonderful.. There are many nearby restaurants providing many other cuisines if needed..

selected Riverside due to good review score in Agoda.
And I was so happy with the decision.
The hotel is clean (totally different for other budget hotel), and room nicely renovated.
With a little bit of top up from budget hotel, this is an absolute bargain.
The breakfast Nasi Lemak is so nice!
I will definitely stay here again in my next trip

Cozy. Friendly staff. Homely feel.
The fact that the owners are designers is reflected in the very tastefully appointed interior and deco. Staff is freindly. It feels more like going home than to a hotel room.

It's intimate and cozy. I like to whip out my lap top and do catch up with work in the quiet environment on the mezzanine floor which feels more like my living room.
With just limited number of rooms it does not suffer from the noise and bustle of a bigger hotel with lots of guests.
The windows are double-glazed too which turn the rooms into whisper-quiet cozy spaces - you don't even notice that the road outside is full of traffic activity.
Small grouse : The black-out curtains don't work too well as they do not fit too well around the windows.

Great hotel with friendly staff

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It was very clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Choice of eggs, scrambled, poached or fried on toast with beef bacon, sausage and beans, or continental type, or scones and jam. All served with a smile and tea and coffee. It is an easy walk into town from the hotel but taxi needed when carrying baggage. 20RM from the express bus station(which is temporarily at the stadium) to the hotel.
There is no lift in the hotel, however the staff were very happy to take baggage to the room.
Free wifi throughout which when working, was very good. It is not the fault of the hotel when it doesn't work but the general system in Kuantan. It worked most of the time.
A very comfortable pleasant place to stay.

simple, clean design. Lounge for reading, surfing the internet and watching the telly.

great hotel with design breaking away from the norm. just like it's name, it just beside the river but the rooms doesn't offer the river view. as it is a shop lot area, there's no private parking, but public parking is ample. good food. definitely going there again when i'm in kuantan!
Hotel Feature Tip:
No lifts though. have to get 2 flights of stairs to get to the rooms.
Strictly no smoking or your deposit will be forfeited

Exterior of the hotel is not impressive but once you step into the room, the feeling "WAH!" can tell you the excellent room environment. You will ask yourself: "Is it 3 or 4 star hotel". I recommend this hotel to the budget or short business trip traveler who would like to enjoy comfy, nice and modern setup of room with reasonable room rate.

Location was very good, parking was right outside and our general impression was excellent .

The Riverside was excellent. The rooms were clean and very well appointed.
The bathrooms were especially well appointed.
The breakfast was superb.
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Find your way to the river to see the local fishing fleet.
We also enjoyed a dinner at the local restuarant in the same block of buildings.
