Weekend at the Swiss Garden Kuantan Guest Rating: 3.7

Swiss garden hotel is very well located on the road from Cukai to Kuantan. It is located at a very nice part of the Beach and is very easily accessible. Rooms are sober but very clean and spacious with either a nice view on the pool or the garden. The beach area and swimming pool are well laid out and are very enjoyable. The swimming pool is, luckily for me, not too deep so you can easily stand anywhere. Food is very good as well with a very nice offer of buffets from Thursday till Saturday at a reasonable price.

Good location on the Jalan Beserah to Kuantan. Easy to find and good access. Very nice swimming pool. Very nice outside dining area near the pool.

Service last Thursday (October 16) was poor. Staff seemed to be disorganised and were just wondering around.

A Great Place for a Restful Stay Guest Rating: 3.8

After reading some mixed and negative reviews, we were a bit apprehensive. But we were very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, the service, the food, and the flexibility in letting us check out a bit late. Although not spectacular, the beach was very clean with practically no one to be seen. The staff were very polite and helpful. Once you leave the hotel in either direction, though, there isn't much to see along the beach road. We had dinner at Pak Su a short drive away and it was very good and very reasonably priced.

The swimming pool is very nice. The beach is clean and nearly empty. The rooms (we had two adjoining rooms) were very comfortable, clean, and quiet. When we called for room service and maintenance person, the response was very quick.

The beach activities (jet ski, banana boat rides, ATV rentals, and paintball) were not operating because of mechanical problems. The games room and gym, although adequately appointed, were hot and stuffy.

Excellent Place in Kuantan Guest Rating: 4.8

This Hotel in Kuantan is an excellent place to stay with the family. The rooms are good, well maintained, offer a wonderful view, the facilities and fittings in the room are good and tasteful. The hotel also provides a number of activities for the children and one can enjoy a variety of food and BBQ specialties in the evenings in the hotel restaurant. The hotel has a nice access to its beach too.

The location of the hotel, quality of the rooms, their maintenance and facilities. The swimming pools are also good.

Distance from the main KUANTAN Town is a half hour drive.

• Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel has good restaurants, activities for children and a nice access to the beach - so one does not feel like going out. Ideal for a complete relaxation and undisturbed stay in peace.

The staff in this hotel are very charming. The pool is big and comfortable and the beautiful non-commercialized beach. You can stay at the beach and profit the beautiful large scenery of the sea.

On the overall, things can be improved with better service in terms of handling during peak check ins and outs. Staff should be more informative on places of interest and good food recommendation and also on informative materials like maps and pamphlets.

• Restaurant Tip : Great seafood along the main road heading towards Kuantan from the hotel. The restaurant name is Pak Su, I think.

A place to relax, Swiss Garden suited our needs to just do what we pleased when we pleased with no routine or schedule to follow. Highly recommended for a family with grown up children.
