never stay there
no good features what so ever
2.3
The location is not great, there is nothing to do around it and the resort itself is horrible. Meaning that it doesnt look anything like in pictures, the staff is unfriendly and unhelpful and rooms have bed bugs. When I reported this to the hotel administration, they didnt seem surprised and couldnt help me with a refund which i asked or relocation of the room. Hotel activities were very much constricted and not flexible at all (for example, like they didnt let children to go outside to do painting instead of a business center). Absolutely not worth the price you pay for resort. Please be clever and find something else.

Nice hotel but service could have been better
Room, location, beach, pool, quality of food at the coffee house.
7.3
room was fair. view was great. overall amenities good. location, correct distance from town. beach clean.
breakfast service non-existant, they only turned up for lunch and dinner. we laid our own table and found our own cutlery. the kids corner - we had higher expectations, it ended up being a 'do it yourself' service with no supervision (esp the treasure hunt). staff there also could hardly speak english.
the sea water on the 3rd day we stayed was brown ! pollutants from a river flowed freely and directly into the waters. was fine before then.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
head to the batik factory and retail outlet further down the road (towards cherating) for good overall batik experience. and thr turtle sanctuary (cherating) was a big big letdown. small, dirty, poorly kept, turtles cld have been in better, cleaner tanks.

Nice hotel
Comfortable and nice pool
8
we took a family room. although it is more pricey, the room is spacious and comfortable. our children enjoyed the room and the facilities - the pool and the beach. the dining area is a little small for the crowd that was present. it was packed during breakfast, although the hotel staff tried to turn around the tables quickly to cater to the hotel guests that were waiting for breakfast. this is a nice and comfortable hotel that is by the beach and not too far from the town.

Good selection of breakfast
7.7
Should imposed parking priority for the inhouse guest using coupon or voucher. Currently anybody can just drive in and park.As added security measure and to control/ monitor parking lot space . Should make a shaded or covered walkway to parking lot space in case of rainy season.

Nice and modern
Located near Kuantan town, near the beach, lots of eateries around.
7.7
we checked in during the school holiday season and the hotel was crowded. the pool was really packed. we were turned down by the hotel restaurant as we didn't make any booking for dinner [ we didn't know that we were supposed to book the place!]. we headed out to a local eating hut called river seafood about 4 km from the hotel [ located near batu hitam beach ] and the food was cheap and fantastic! the samsara spa was amazing! i love the gym as it is spacious.
there is also an activity roster prepared by the hotel - you can always find something fun to do daily!
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you hate the crowd - avoid staying during the school holiday seasons!

strategic location
nice view from the room, either pool view, seaview or garden view
6.7
...first time staying in Swiss-Garden Cherating. We were greeted with a warm welcome from staffs. Beautiful hotel lobby facing swimming pool, an open-air reception counter an added value to the lobby to welcome guests. we were given room with pool view, so beautiful, really nice view. large swimming pool, clean, suitable and comfortable for children. i like the cafe which is open-air and facing the pool. very relaxing. but the breakfast menu is not much choice, if the menu is added and more varieties, it will be more exciting..

Great executive deluxe room
spacious and comfortable room. Good for honeymooners.
7.7
the stay was great but kuantan weather was not so friendly. it was a rainny season. however, while the check in time was at 3 (rather late) but upon arrival, the room was still not ready. we waited for 1 1/2 hour before getting our room. time wasted. other services were good but not excellent.
Restaurant Tip:
Santai restaurant grossing the big bridge in Kuantan. Very cosy seafood restaurant and for local crackers, go to Kuala Kemaman about 40 min drive from Kuantan.
