Decent stopover hotel

Friendly receptionists. Good location.

Poor breakfast quality. Poor tv/entertainment system in the room.

We had decided to stay in Kuching one night before going to the Bako National Park early the next morning. Check-in was very smooth and the friendly staff in the reception were helpful in booking a good driver to the Bako National Park Jetty. The hotel is within walking distance of everything in the city. The downsides of the hotel is the breakfast buffet which has a very poor selection of food for western guests. Other than that, I would definitely recommended the hotel for someone that is passing through or intending to spend only one night in Kuching. Decent hotel for a decent price.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Everything is within walking distance of the hotel. Take a 1-hour stroll and you've seen pretty much what Kuching has to offer.

Big Room, Late check out until 1 pm nice pool (small though but sufficient for cooling down), friendly staff, brakfast buffet large, cakes great, very reasonable price

if you want to take that as a con it was about 1km to walk in order to reachthe waterfront. But this shouldn't be the decisive factor

We stayed at the hotel with our little daughter, babycot was already prepared whichis according to our experiencenot the norm in Asia, the foodwas great we enjoyed it very much

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Organ Utan reserve, Museum of Chinese History, Sarawak Museum, Fort Marguerita

Clean, tidy room

Location is poor

This is an average hotel. The room was clean and tidy and large enough. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was that usually provided in Asian hotels. The location was poor with not many restaurants within safe walking distance. It is advisable to use a taxi in the evenings anyway due to bag snatchings. I would probably not stay here again as there are other hotels with more favourable locations.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Head down to the promenade along the river. Of an evening it is great just to stroll along. There are many other people around so it is quite safe. Check out the spectacular new government building on the other side of the river. Wow.
