the hotels is in a good locations which is in the city center of the center business district location and is very convinient of everythings from shopping to local attactions and lots of places like places of interest are all within walking distance and you can do a lots of shopping within the area and shopping too.........

we stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment recently for 5 nights, as it was a new part of the hotel it was new & spaceous with 2 ensuites & a separate toilet outside which is really handy with visitors and a little kitchenette, though without any crockery. locality is just perfect to the town centre, breakfast is so so, however, will stay here again.

Great location but small rooms

great location! the sarawak museum is just next to door, food court is opposite the road, post office is 2 minutes walking distance, and only 5 minutes to reach the waterfront. the staffs are friendly and helpful. good choice to stay in the hotel with a reasonable price, just don't feel it is 5-star.

5Stars hotel but standard room very small and rooms are next to car park.....very noisy....room also not well maintenance...dirty ceilling board.....water pressure is too high....i mean very high....i quess 5 to 6barg...is crazy....

in term of location this hotel is ok but not from a customer satisfaction perspective first & formost i don't think i was given a superior room that i booked for & secondly the mattress is terrible totally worn out and bad for sleeping posture. The room is very small. One good part is the english pub where you can enjoy a great drink and very friendly staff this was great!!

A historical hotel for malaysian citizen

we went to kuching, sarawak to send off our son for university study in unimas. we took the opportunity to visit kuching and what kuching has offered. merdeka palace hotel tok us down on memory lanes on the history of sarawak and the struggle of independence by our forefathers. the walk at the water front with the history of sarawak was from the rajah brook until formation of malaysia is very educational.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
This hotel is for those who likes to know about Sarawak and and who wanted to relive the Merdeka era.
