very clean and comfortable room, basic room with reasonable price. easy access to convenience shop, food and city centre. for twin sharing, the bathroom is not transparent as shown on agoda picture, don't worry, u still have your privacy when using the bathroom. below the lodge is a night club, music blast till 2am, all right for us, as the music wasn't too loud for us. other than this, everything is perfect.

Best bang for the buck!
You just cant find any hotel cheaper than this, with great location, great facilities and great staffs! Located at Kuching city centre, the location is near to shopping malls, waterfront, banks and fast food restaurant (KFC,Pizza Hut, McDonalds)

The room is just nice. Nice bed thus guarantee a good night sleep. The room is very clean.
Nightlife Tip:
Live band at Curve is the best!

I spent 2 days in woodpecker lodge with 2 of my junior colleagues. Room is nice, clean and new. Place is very convenient. Staff is friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend it for a budget traveler who need privacy and nice place. I haven't had any problem due to Karaoke down stares. Only issue is the space inside room, which was not a problem for us.
Restaurant Tip:
Cross the river and have a dinner from the river bank restaurants from the other side. It is a beautiful view and food is better and cheap.

With the price paid, I don't have any complaint. Place is exceptionally clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. The only setback would be its location being on top of a karaoke. The mixture of crowd caused some concerns to me at night but overall my stay has been pleasant.

i've been staying here for 4 nights, the location is in the city of kuching. all the places you can go by walking. there is no lift in this hotel, you need to walk up to 3rd floor. after 11pm they will lock the gate before to lobby, you have to press the bell to wait them to open the gate. they do have wifi service but slow, and one windows xp pc for free online. there are some karaoke down stair and police come to check up often. many food shop near there just can go by walking too.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walk not far can see the Cat Status and take photos.

New & Clean. WiFi in the room but only at the reception counter floor level. 24 hours computer FOC beside reception counter.
