The fantastic view! The hotel is right at the end of the stretch of land so the view of the beach and sea is unobstructed. The hotel is also near the jetty where the island hopping trips are conducted, so you can go back to your hotel to change and rest quite fast.

The air con in our room was not working very well. Even at the lowest temperature, we still had the fan on.

Overall,it was a pleasant stay though I was tempted to leave the second day and find another hotel as the air-con was not working well in our room. However, we decided to stay put coz of the hassle of moving. You need your own wheels to move around coz restaurants and other amenities are quite a distance from the hotel. The Pantai Cenang area where this hotel is located is more festive and beautiful especially at night compared with the Kuah Town which seemed like a ghost town after 9.00pm!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Check out the town for better rates for your sightseeing trips eg. island hopping. The hotel charged RM45 per person while in town we got RM35

location, setting, building, swimming pool, parking, restaurants, features....in a word, everything.

lack of 'international' electrical socket in room or near bed. had trouble charging my 'Australian' phone and other devices.

best hotel experience of my life. a+++++

This is a first time in Langkawi, Awana Porto Malai Hotel is located on the very good location, you will found builtiful backgroup , nice place to photo and take the vedio for your family. In the early moring you will saw the sun up from the island very nice. I would like to told about the food in the hotel, I will booking to stay again and I hope I will meet the good food for the dinner and breakfast.

Restaurant Tip : Many sea food resturant on the way to the hotel.
