you can take this hotel every time Very pleased with the hotel, good location being right in the centre of the town. Service was good, facilities were above expectation. Especially appreciated the swimming pool area. Special mention must go to one of the concierge, I think he went by the name of Rudi. He was so helpful in obtaining ferry tickets from Langkowi to Penang for our party. Overall we were very pleased with the service received."

Comfortable, clean, well-maintained, great pool, good location in Kuah town. Very friendly staff. Terrible pillows -- the worst I've ever come across in a hotel. Decorations a little sterile. WiFi only works in the lobby. We enjoyed our one night stay at the Bayview. Centrally located in Kuah Town, this would be a great place to stay before catching the ferry. Room was spacious and comfortable (except for the pillows). Staff was friendly and efficient. Swimming pool was great. Nice town and bay views from the pool and room. We left too early to have breakfast. Dinner buffet looked pretty good (38ring), but not a lot of selection. I would stay here again. Great value if you get a good rate. Good shopping in Kuah Town, too!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Be sure to double check any transfer information provided by the staff (e.g., ferry departure location / time). We were given the wrong information and missed our (prepaid) boat to Koh Lipe. Taking another boat cost twice as much as our night in the hotel!

Located in Kuah Town which is near the jetty to get to Penang as well as the slightly up-market shopping mall - Langkawi Fair. There is a stuff, damp smell along the corridor although the hotels tries to get rid of it by placing 2 blower. Unfortunately, it can be rather noisy. As I was looking for a hotel offering me the convenience to see my customers located in Kuah Town, Bay view was clearly the choice for its 4-star appeal and central locality. Although there is free wifi facilities offered, I was unable to hook up despite trying the whole night and day both in the hotel rooms and in the lobby.

Room service.
Breakfast items were not heated. Overall the hotel stay was quite enjoyable. The spa service was superb and we would definitely recommend it to our friends. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative (but minor) aspects of our stay was that the rooms were not ready at the time they were supposed to be, their breakfast buffet was below average.
The only other warning I would give is concerning their main elevators. The doors would close too quickly after reaching a floor and quite a few people were inadvertently pinned when attempting to exit.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : A trip to the Pulau Payar National Marine Park is definitely worth a visit.

The bathroom is clean.
Room is very spacious and has a fantastic view of the bay.
Hotel location is walking distance to the shops. Room furnishings and carpet are worn out.
Bedroom slippers are not readily available. This is my first trip to Langkawi. The hotel is conveniently located next to the shopping area, and a few minutes drive to the jetty and more duty free shops! Our room is very spacious and overlooks the bay. The bathroom is very clean and spacious too! There is ample parking space at the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hire a car to get around Langkawi. Being a small island with few roads, it is esy to navigate. Interesting places are within reach.

1) Proximity to Jetty, Langkawi Square and duty-free shops;
2) Spacious room 1) One factor which I felt unusual - many services which other hotels would provide free of cost is charged. Example - we asked for a cup of hot milk during the breakfast buffet, but was informed that we will have to pay for it!!
2) The breakfast buffet offered limited choice, although the quality of food was good. We stayed at the Bayview Langkawi for 4 days during end December. I'd say that its a value for money hotel. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. It would be better if guests inform the hotel well in advance of their requirements (I needed a smoking room, but was informed that the hotel was running full and this request cannot be accommodated). The pool was clean, though it was not deep enough for a good swim. The location of the hotel is advantageous, in the middle of Kuah town and close to many tourist attractions. Staff members were cordial. The buffet breakfast was good, though the choice was limited. Overall, not much to complain about and a decent hotel to stay at.
Restaurant Tip : There are quite a few hawkers / road side eateries/ restaurants near the hotel which are very reasonably priced and offer great value for money.

The room is very big, clean, and comfortable, including a very big washroom. I can see the sea view from big window well.
The location is very close to shopping area of Kuah. So it's convenient to have dinner or shopping by walking.
The environment of the hotel is OK. But lift was always busy and overweight.
The breakfast was not so good but acceptable.
Generally it's a good place to stay in Langkawi.

Convenient location, spacious room. The location is one of the selling points of this hotel, it is just in the center of Kuah town area, so very convenient to access many duty free shops and restaurants. It is also not far from two shopping malls (Langkawi Fair and Langkawi Parade) and Jetty, costing around 2.4 Ringgit. The room is quite spacious, after putting an extra bed, it is still not felt crowded. The staff is quite friendly. There is an integrated control pad to control TV and lamps, only 10 TV channels are available. The most disappointing thing to me is its breakfast. Lack of varieties, and the quality is unsatisfying. The lift door is closed too soon, so the guest with little kids need to be cautious.
But generally speaking, it is OK to stay.

Excellent location,very friendly staff,and the rooms were very comfortable...what more can one ask for? The resident band in the bar were incredibly loud and played what I call 'instant headache material' A good hotel,in a good position,close to the center of town.A couple of minutes walk from the hotel there are some really good eating places,and Langkawai is a duty free port,so spirits,cigarettes etc are incredibly cheap.The local people are very friendly and helpful,and always have a ready smile.
Travel tip : Try the Sunshine Cafe,the food is excellent,and remarkable value for money.Just 2 minutes from the hotel.

Good location for shopping and Ferry connections to Penang. Too far from most attractions. The hotel room was very good (deluxe sea view). The staff were very accommodating. The breakfast was a let down. They do not cater for western tourist. It was sub-standard in comparison to the rooms.
Shopping Tip : The hotel is located next to all the shops selling chocolates and alcohol.

Near to town center. Good for shopping. Easy to get restaurant around. Breakfast not many choice. Need to improve!! This hotel is worth for stay as the price offered is value to the space of the room. Seaview at higher level room is an enhance point for me to pay for it.

Location (if you are staying in kuey town) is perfect. Beautiful views. Fittings were outdated, could use a revamp. Just preferential, but I found the dormitory style doors that lead to your room kinda spooky. Overall, for the price, You cant go wrong here. We booked an executive room and the room was huge. The fittings were outdated but overall the stay was nice, I just usually prefer a newish looking place. The broadband was free on the exec room but rather slow. Kuey Town is probably not the best place to stay for most. Having never been to Langkawi, we thought there would be a lot more to see but no really shopping etc. except a few duty free stores.
Travel tip : Just a short walk from the hotel there was a food market which was only there 1 of the 3 days we stayed there. It was awesome if you like hawker food!! I don't know the street name but it was close to a bridge and was about 1km long full of local food stalls. Also dont waste your time taking taxis, hire a car for around 50-60rm per day and drive!! So much easier.

clean, big rooms, tidy pool, restaurants, nice enough staff, OK price not a beach near, need to take a taxi to closest beach We liked this hotel. It was very clean, not too busy and nice big rooms. Also the room prices weren't bad.
