Beautiful garden & pool area
Good service from the reception staff Limited selection for breakfast & should have been prepared to cater for large capacity/occupancy period The reception at the hotel was safisfactory and facilities (eg.room service, garden, pool) provided were pleasant. Beautiful view of the sea and surrounding coastline of Langkawi (Kuah town). However there is limited selection at the breakfast buffet and staff were late to refill the food. Hotel should have been prepared for large capacity weekends so that all the guests are able to enjoy the full spread of breakfast selection. Shops leading to the hotel entrance is an eye sore, since many are unoccupied and seems to look like abandon.

Pool!! Never ending pool. Location of the hotel. Firstly its on the wrong side of the island for beaches, shopping and general tourist activities. Secondly its on a bit of a inlet and the shops, houses etc around the hotel seem to be deserted. I did not feel comfortable walking around - during the day. Bella Vista is a decent hotel. Its fairly large.
Room was fairly clean but not 100% spotless.
The suburb around the hotel was strange, deserted in the middle of the day, did not feel safe walking around. Fair (30-40) min drive from the main tourist attractions/beach locations.
I also had "room service" enter my room (without knocking) about 10-11pm at night before realising someone was in the room and running away! I'm wondering the reason staff would have to enter my room...

Small rooms, breakfast is not so good. Bella Vista is a large hotel with many rooms, the one we got wasn´t very good and quite worn out. It looked a little bit untidy and semmed to could do with a little freshen up
Some of the staff was not very friendly, but on the other hand some of them where very nice and helpful.
Restaurant Tip : The Nautilus restaurant offers very friendly service and good food

The sea-facing swimming pool Rooms worn out. Looking very old and shabby. Staff not so friendly and helpful. Very noise rooms surrounding the machine tower. The hotel reception staff are not so friendly and helpful. When I requested early check-in at around 11am, they refused several times even if they have plenty of empty rooms. And there was no hot water when I wanted to have shower, after calling 5 times and complaining at the reception desk, still the problme wasn't solved until late into the night. There was a very noisy machine tower (with electricity generator inside, I guess) which works 24 hours, so it was really noisy in the night that I had to plug my ears and still can hear the noise. And the hotel system was down when I queued to check out the next day. It is very rare that you expeirence so many unpleasant incidents in one night stay in a hotel.
Restaurant Tip : The hotel is located far from either the jetty point and the town. With simply no restaurants around. Have to take a taxi to wherever.

Beautiful grounds, pool and views from hotel The location to the town and to access it by foot, it's a long walk just to get to Kuah Town. Not the best town for a vacation as it doesn't come to life until nightfall. Breakfast was adequate but not a lot of choice. First impressions were WOW at the hotel, the grounds and the views from the room.Unfortunately the hotel is very tired and needs updating.
The walk from the hotel to the town is long, not the ideal location for a holiday as it is not near the beach and the town is dull and uninspiring.
The staff however were friendly and helpful. The food at the pool restaurant was lovely although thought the drinks were overpriced. We had a good three days here and would stay again knowing a taxi is essential to visit the surrounding area.
Restaurant Tip : The streetside Chinese restaurant named 'Wonderland ' was excellent and value for money. Its not luxurious, plastic chairs etc but the food was delicious.

Like the swimming pool at the hotel which is nearby to the sea view. For the condition of the room, the air-condition is not cold, the temperature of the water which is not hot. The emergency door never switch on the light at night. First, the hotel staff is quite friendly, especially the bartender which is quite helpful for opening our red wine in the room which we bought at the duty free shop.
Second, we like the view of the hotel which just look like a castle to us.

Garden and swimming pool. 3 bed room apartments very old, bed clothes very dirty,noisy from outside and dirty smell of river. Very high price for the old room. nobody stays in this for the long time, no facility at all.

Our junior suite room is big and clean, with wonderful seaview. The location of the hotel is not so good. Although the Bella Vista Hotel is located at Kuah Town, but it takes long time to walk to the center of the town and supermarkts. There are less clean and good restaurants near the hotel. And the beautiful sand beachs are all far away. So to rent a car is a "must". I think the most guests of the hotel come from Malaysia. The swimming pool is small, but faces the sea.

Good Pricing and 10minutes drive from Jetty point.
Good external castle like look.Sea view pool & Ok breakfast. Strict check in time,relatively poor maintenance and not so good entry approach. Hotel is conveniently located in Kuah Town ~10 minutes drive from Jetty.It is value for money with a good sea view swimming pool,although small.It has a great castle like look from outside & can be seen from the Jetty.Had a inconvience at check in as i had booked in two rooms but the front desk gave one room only first & then on insisting they allocated another room.It was inconvenience.Also due to strict check in time of 2PM , staff couldn't handle so many guest trying to check in at the same time .Suggest to do formalities earlier so that just handover the keys quickly at 2 PM or start checking in earlier for early arrivals.No breakfast item labelling ,making inconvenient for vegetarians.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are not driving,you can check with taxi drivers for Langkawi sightseeing trips which is less than half the price of any packages offered.
Also check out the Lankawi Parade shopping centre.

At least the housekeeping was done. Could have received a warmer and gentler reception from the desk duty manager. We arrived with a big surprise after being told that there was no room booked under my name. To make it even a harrowing experience, it was a public holiday weekend and school vacation period when room vacancy was almost non-existence at this time of the year at Langkawi. The desk duty manager was point blank in telling us that he cannot help us out but to deal directly with AsiaWeb Direct. He told us to check with him later around 7 PM (and go shopping first)if there is any late cancellation and we could get that room. Eventually, things were mended and we get our room at Bella Vista.

The hotel has good appearance like a palace. It's quite near to the sea. We can see some small islands, sailing boat & beautiful sea. It's is quite good.
But the room is too small & simple, esp washing room.
Sailing session in the hotel is quite interesting. The Brazil instructor and Indian staff is very nice.
The location looks near to Kauh. But actually it's separated by a river. So walking is not convenient.
Some small restaurants just outside the hotel is delicious and valuable, cheaper than those in Kuah shopping area.
