Very nice hotel, well organize and good services. Very quiet and have a lot of privacy. A bit far out at one corner of the island. You need a car to drive around, especially rainy season. The room can be quite a walk from the lobby. Our room has leak from the roof in the bath room. I guess wet season is not a good choice to go Langkawi anyway I like it privacy and very quiet. Becareful of the monkeys tho. They come in to our balcony looking for food but we have a lot of fun "throwing" them the food as they look not very friendly:-) I have great time staying there.

Overall, the resort was very nice. It was clean and the landscape was green and well maintained. The quiet corner location of the property makes it ideal for the honeymooners. The variety of food was also very good. The beach restaurant & the Thai restaurant were nice too.The staff were very friendly, helpful and responsive.
However, we had a couple of experiences that were very disappointing:
1) Since we booked our hotel vide Agoda, the breakfast was included for the 2 nights on the website and not for the third night as that night was free. But later at the resort we found out that breakfast was not included for any night. This was a bit disappointing.
2)For a 4 star hotel not offering free wifi even in the lobby area was very strange and i didnt understand the rationale for charging the rates on a per month basis either.
3)Since the hotel is at a relatively distant location, I couldn't understand why they were not providing a shuttle bus service beyond the oriental village (just 200 metres away).
Restaurant Tip : The potato sald at the Beach restaurant was divine

The staff are very friendly and upgraded up to premier. The view is very nice. The beach has own canoe, catamaran, banana boat acitivities. Not much choices for food and not very nice. Breakfast is bad. Buggy has to wait very long. Good location and good stay.

Chalet in the forest! We enjoyed the stay so much. Hear birds, insects and monkeys from room, sometimes they appear at balcony making my daughter so excited. It is a bit far from town but you can rent cheap car there to go around the island

Enjoyed the spa experience. Should consider expanding the spa as it is not easy to make a booking, especially on rainy days. The food served at the hotel restaurants could have been better. Hotel should consider having more board games for loan to keep guests occupied during rainy days. While the hotel is situated near a jungle trail, we are puzzled that free guided trekking is available only on selected days.
The landscape surrounding the hotel is beautiful and well managed. It would be ideal if hotel could provide bicycle rental.
Enjoyed the spa experience there, nice ambience and great treatment.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Cable Car station is within walking distance from the hotel.

hotel has unique feature of rooms to be addressed as Chalets.Very private...ideal for honeymooners and for those who want some peace and pleasure hand in hand.Excellent room locations..very spacious with full amenities...luxurious bathrooms. Apart from interiors hotel holds a good complex of retaurants to relax and cherish different cuisines along the beach side.Very comfortable shuttle service...hassle free even during heavy rainfall(thats what we experience). cons will be limited in my opinion but yes there would be areas of improvement like quick room service,more lighting outside chalets specially for those that are far located from the main path during night time.One thing I didnt like was the long delay in completing the check out process.Hardly any staff to respond you when you check out.Cant guess for more improvements. My stay at Berjaya will be a rememberance for many years.Very relaxing,comfortable stay which will bring you more closer to nature.Nice concept to maintain privacy of the guests..beautiful room locations with sea on one side and cloud filled hills on the other...a very rare combination to experience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Cable car,the main attraction of Langkawi is hardly 5 mins away from the hotel.

friendly staff, excellent food at dayang cafe & pan thai, private beach, nice & cozy rooms. unavailability of free wireless internet in the lobby as well as in the room. Had the best time of our life. This was the resort which I was looking forward on my trip to Malaysia. I wish I could have stayed more days. Best view of the sea as well as the tropical forest from our superior chalet. Rooms are clean and the cleaning staff even though they have cleaned the room in the day are not hesitant to come and clean the rooms again. Food at thai restaurant was fantastic. We were the only couple who were dining late at pan-thai, the performers performed some lovely songs for both of us-had a romantic feel to it.

3. Small swimming pool. The beach was clean, swimming pool was small but the pool mini bar was cool. Rooms are cosy but lacking stuffs like toothbrush & paste. Mini bar be careful as if you use cards to give deposit they would not furbish it. TV stations are not clear. The service shuttle is good & courteous. Free WIFI can be provided. The net cafe is very expensive. It is near the cable car and seven wells. I have fun and enjoyed every bit of my stay though.

Has everything you need and more for a relaxing holiday change the shuttle buses to electric and reduce the numbe rof loud motor bikes FANTASTIC - Has everything you need and more for a relaxing holiday. One of the nicest hotels i have ever stayed at. Great friendly and very helpful staff, good choice of food, resturatns and bars. Well priced for this type of resort. Highly recommend dinner at the Thai resturant Brillant. Had a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone who needs a break to relax and unwind. Make sure you spend some time in the spa.

The rooms are clean and it is quite special to have separate rooms... fresh air and clean environment... quite ok!! the rooms are a bit far away.. and there are monkeys around the rooms.. it is quite dangerous if they suddenly come to attack... overall.. berjaya is quite a good hotel since the environment is clean.. the staff there are quite friendly.. but the food in the restaurants are not satisfactory... the water sometimes are too hot and sometimes are too cold... other than that everything's fine... worthwhile to have a try!!

Nice and clean beach. Good swimming pool. Efficient shuttle bus. The location is quite far away from airport and city centre. It is trouble to take taxi everytime. It is quite a nice resort with beautiful beach, swimming pool and landscape. People can relax and take photos around. The houses built on water are really attractive. People can listen to the waves and watch the calm sea in the sunrise and sunset. The food is OK. The room service is a bit slow but the people are nice and helpful. The shuttle bus service is efficient and convenient. It is a nice place for relax and holiday.

Fantastic location for Seven Wells Waterfalls, cable car and Oriental village. Clean, comfortable rooms, great restaurants. Children's deserts (ice cream) at the Thai restaurant would have saved us moving to the beach restaurant for desert.
This was the perfect location for our two families consisting of four adults, three teenagers and two children. Our rooms were next door to each other and the shuttle service was very useful. The pool was clean although not as large as anticipated. The beach was great and there were lots of water activities to keep us busy. There was a great selection of restaurants whith plenty of choice. It would have been useful to get ice cream at the Thai restaurant for the children, as we had to move to the beach bar for their deserts. We loved the live singers by the pool and in the restaurants. Fantastic location for getting to Seven Wells, Oriental Village and the Cable Car. Also booked a boat tour of islands through the hotel, great fun. The staff were really helpful and attentive and all in all we had a fantastic holiday.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Book a boat tour via the tours desk, lots of choice, great fun and great value.
Book the spa at least one day in advance to get treatments.

Setting is amazing. Dont worry about the superior chalets. they have many of them and they are perfectly good inside!
Morning and evening walks a must! Wifi was expensive and could only get a month pass!! even the budget place we stayed did had it free...
the shuttlebus could take its time was worried about this place a little when i read the reviews. We were staying in the cheapest rooms and they have had a few bad reviews. When we got there there was no problem. the room was good, the remote on the TV didnt work but we were not there to watch TV! the location is superb and the wildlife is the main attraction here. The free morning and evening walks are a must to know what your seeing/heraing.
Food is good and not massivley overpriced though more variety would help here.
I have read reviews that say that its like a butlins, it isnt. They have buffet dinners and the lobby entertainment is a little tacky but they have to cater for a huge variety of cultures and age ranges so they do their best here.
For those of us that want a little more life the pub was planning on holding discos/entertainment the week after we left so maybe this will improve.
My advice DO NOT stay at the Patai cenang area, visit it say thank god we stayed and the Berjaya and have a great holiday!!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Stay away from the Cenang area if you can, it has a few more bars and restaurants but it is not the tropical paradise you may hope for. The north of the island with secluded beaches and rainforest will be. This resort and its neighbour both offer good value and if your splurging then there are someothers on the north coast. THe corodile farm should be missed not just for the state of it but for the other guest blatent disrespect for rules and maltreatment of the animals
