The hotel is situated next to one of the biggest shopping malls in Kuah Town. It is within walking distance to "Wonderland", a popular seafood eating place. It is at the edge of Kuah Town. Hence, it is quite a distance to the jetty where most of the attractions are. Being a 3* - 4* hotel, I must admit that it has lived up to its standard. The hotel is clean except for the room that I was staying, the bath tub has yellow stain on it. The hotel staff are friendly and always ready to serve. If you get a taxi through hotel, you have to pay $2 more. Anyway, it is not too difficult to flag down a taxi just outside the hotel. There isn't much to see a Kuah Town. Probably a day trip there or just to stay over a night will be sufficient.
Restaurant Tip : There is this very popular seafood eatery called "Wonderland". There are a few clusters of eateries there. They all serve almost the same type of food. The prices there are quite reasonable.

:Room is smell
:Staff is not helpful Not recommend the others to stay at this hotel. We stayed here for 4 days 3 nights in May. At first, air conditioning wasn’t working well in our room on 2nd floor and it may took around 30 minutes to fix it. They didn’t offer us to change the room but we had to ask for it. They moved us to 4th floor but we still found that the toilet wasn’t flushed properly. Bed sheet for both rooms were very old and smell. No remote control for air conditioning and TV. We had to walk to TV every time we wanted to change the channel. No internet was provided in this hotel. We’re ok to pay for it but they don’t have the computer. The hotel is also quite far away from the shopping area. It took us for around 30 minutes by feet or we had to pay RM6 for taxi.

nearby shooping area and food, easy to find, good view ( for sea view ) and cheerfull staff. 'old school' facitilities and mood. my bath tube have some 'burnt' view on it. this hotel is in good location, you can just walk aroung to reach shopping area and easy to find - road side. there's a good staff ( smiling and cheerfull ), but for a stay with young children maybe not very satisfied ( facilities, situation ).

close to shopping mall and taxi rank, 10min walk from kuah 30hr taxi ride away from the beaches We got everything we expected from the hotel, friendly staff and helpful. Our room was clean although well worn, the view was ok too. Our greatest problem came from the financial outlay involved with constant use of taxis. However I was reliably informed that hire cars are cheap, so if you drive this could be a good hotel. As I say, the greatest problem was that, although being close to the town it is a bit of a long way from some of the more interesting areas.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : you will need to queue for at least 2hrs for the cable car.

near the town and all places are accessible needs a lot of improvement like tap was broken, towel should give at 3 star hotel not like use at rumah tumpangan. If can register for 3 adult and towel should supply 3 unit. Hotel staff not cooperate (Kasar). I am happy with agoda hotel arrangement but agoda should review hotel information from time to time because same hotel declare 3 star but the facility not achieve 1 star hotel.
about the price hotel have special promotion but agoda charge standard price. What happen when can register at the hotel at that time the hotel price 25% less from the agoda price.

Near the jetty, good food, easy to find far from the island's main attractions, looked old, not the friendliest staff Maybe my expectations were too high, but I thought booking a room at a GRAND Continental Hotel would guarantee me a certain standard or level of niceness that I did not find. Once inside the room is just looked like your average cheap motel. It wasn't BAD mind you, but it wasn't fresh and refined at all either. It seemed like it was on the cusp of becoming old and dingy. For that price I thought I'd be getting a little more out of it.
Food and breakfast buffet were good. Staff was all right. Tv was good. Power went out at one point one evening. Not a lot to do nearby the hotel though. Most of the interesting stuff on the island is on the other side of the island. Nice drive though.
Shopping Tip : There's a mall just a block away that is pretty nice. Has a large duty free area which was useful for picking up gifts and alcohol before I left.

a good last minute choice overall. the location is a bit odd, close to neither cenang beach or the jetty, but is still okay by taxi rides. next to a shopping mall so good for necessitities, though a bit far from restaurants. the rooms are old but kept clean and the service is good. definately value for money. breakfast is so so.

Large Hotel. Very clean rooms. Good breakfast. Shopping center next door. Hotel is a bit old and not as busy as it used to be. This hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a large hotel but a bit run down. The breakfast was good. There is a shopping center and supermarket next door. My wife was sick when we were here so we did not do much. We walked everywhere we went so I do not know about transport except to ferry and from the airport which was by taxi.

i like every thing in this hotel Staff were friendly, knowledgeable (about tours) and honest (a shopping bag that I had left in the lobby when I checked out in the morning was returned to me with contents intact when I collected it that night

Very nice locality. Just infront of sea. Good sea view. Spacious room. Limited choice of food at breakfast. A/C was not working properly. The locality was superb.very spectacular view of sea from the room. Car parking facility was good. Swimming pool was good. Staffs were co-operative. Overall good experience.
