Not too costy, next to the beach a very old hotel, very dirty, the staffs are lazy & not helpful. This hotel is rated as 3 stars but in our eyes, it is an "No Star" hotel.
This may be a 3 star hotel in 30 years ago...maybe.
The hotel is old, the room is old, the carpet is dirty, bad breakfast, bad service, lazy staffs.
The pool is so-so. The only things we are ok with this hotel is the price (but not very cheap) & you can walk down in 3 mins to the beach. And the beer & wine is not expensive. That's all.
No matter how, i won't recommend any friend to stay in this hotel.
Or you pay for dis-satisfactory.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : That's no night life in langkawi...

I think this was a little bellyful hotel with good location too the beach,a swarming place with candy and helpfully staff I miss they do not have pc and writer for rent

1.nice swimming pool for fun
2.beautiful white sandy beach to enjoy sinshine

2.not near to pantai cenang lanai make me feel good and relaxable! this hotel is far from the hot spot of pantai cenang, you have to spend around 15~20 min to walk to pantai cenang. lanai customer service is quite great such as order the transportation pick up in hotel with reasonable price, they are quite friendly and polite. the selling point is the beach relaxation, lanai have a nice, beautiful beach and u can enjoy the sunshine and sunset of langkawi respectively.

Clean room, beautiful swimming pool. Well-groomed Hotel's beach. Very friendly personnel. This hotel was the first one on our way to Malaysia. We stayed in the hotel for 5 days and liked it so much. At once, the hotel formed our attitude to malaysian friendship and service quality. Among best features we found clean room, beautiful swimming pool with a bridge and palm island in the middle of it. Hotel's sandy beach is cosy and well-groomed. Breakfast was various and different every day.
We had no safe in our room. But we consider this feature the most important because we had to store some heavy things anywhere.
All in all we would like to stay in the hotel next time we will visit Malaysia.

the beach which was right at the hotel, food, my room was comfortable and was cleaned regularly, staff very helpful, breakfast was not too bad, food at the hotel not bad, boats were right on the beach near swimming area which polluted the area at times, It was a fairly good hotel but one needs a car to get round depending if you want to travel, of course. The hotel was easy find, nice area and good views of the beach area, I would have preferred a more variety of breakfast ideas - mostly malay food - but made efforts to provide some European also. There was sufficent room for parking which was good.

Get a room with balcony on the top floor.
we got a room without balcony and near a noisy generator for the first two nights and could not live with it the 12 nights we stayed, so we were lucky to get another room after the two nights.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you want clear water, you need to go by boat or kayak to one of the small islands nearby, but it is not cheap. 35 ringit for a kayak for an hour. And 80 ringit for a 10 minute boat trip called Beach Drop in 4 hours and then get picked up again.

All in all, satisfactory balance between cost and advantages/disadvantages. Location excellent but Langkawi only good for one week's activities unless you are a beach enthusiast.
Restaurant Tip : Don't miss dining at Sheela's (ten minute walk) and the Tang Lung Chinese restaurant close by. Both are excellent, friendly with great asian and other courses available.
