Very spacious rooms, good balcony facing pool, nicely maintained rooms, moderately good breakfast

though rooms are well maintained, the campus is not. pool is clean and adjoining areas could have been well maintained.

the USP is the rooms its triple the general room sizes it would be 15x20 ft rooms with balconies and spacious bathrooms. towels and linens are clean. they have locker facilities in the reception. though it looks huge from front, actual rooms are quite at a distance 200 mts back. the front building hosts spa, reception and restaurant. restaurant i m satisfied. Nadias Inn and this are adjacent to each other, very close to beach (other side of the road). both of them same price, i would prefer to stay here (i stayed one nite in Nadia and one night here)

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : taxi is expensive in langkawi. get a car or bike rental if you have IDR.

Close to the beach, large rooms and a good pool

rooms a bit tired! only one TV channel! no shower curtain or divider!

I didn't like this hotel at the start, but it grew on me! It is well located just across the road from the beach The staff were pleasant and helpful! the rooms were large, but could do with an update! The television only had two channels, one of which one was unwatchable due interference. The pool was ok! The breakfast was quite good with a bit of variety!

Unique pool.Lovely private gardens. Nice clean room.Friendly staff.

some areas need improving, but work appeared to be ongoing.

A lovely place to stay if you are looking for budget accommodation. Within easy access to a lovely beach (no sellers) and within walking reach of many shops and restaurants. The pool is very unusual and really nice, whilst the rooms are clean of a reasonable size with pleasant staff looking after the rooms.

Travel tip : Fabulous food served on the beach in the evening.

Location and pool

Funny breakfast and hotel a bit dated

The hotel is fine for a budget hotel. The location is the best feature - only 2 minutes from beach. breakfast OK but dont go too late as everything ends up cold.

Restaurant Tip : On the beach just to the right of the hotel is a restaurant and small bar name Raffis - owners wife is Thai snd the food is as good as I've tasted in Asia - very chaep too!

Nice pool. Value for money. Position

Breakfast.Checking in and out.

This is your typical Malaysian hotel, run down, needing repair, poor service, food luke warm. No eggs for breakfast, mostly Asian dishes (pickled lettuce etc) Checking staff work in slow motion. However the hotel has a nice pool, is well situated within walking distance of shops and eateries. It is also reasonably priced, so I guess you get what you pay for.

ideal situation.Right where everything happens. Fantastic!

this is not a boutique hotel, this is a -2* backpacker place.

the staff is great, but that's all.It must have been a grandiose palace 20 years ago, but no money has been invested in this hotel in 20 years!

Travel tip : plenty of excellent restaurants right next to it.The shops that sell tshirts, caps, etc... situated in the main street are more expensive that the ones in the back street.

Friendly staff, good location

looking a bit neglected

It is located across the road from Cenang Beach , a very nice and long beach although it can be a bit dirty, lt will be more clean towards the southern end.It is mid way along the beach next door to Nadia's Inn.Lots of shops and cheap seafood restaurants along the beach front. We booked a premier deluxe room but we were given a very spacious room with 2 double beds. There was a desk , armchairs , wardrobe.., plenty of space as to accomodate 2 couples. There was a balcony too with not impressing views.the bathroom was quite big, doors looked old and walls were dirty. The TV was very old blurry picture and only picked up 2 channels. The swimming pool is not very big but it is beautiful with a nice waterfall , it was dirty when we arrived but it was cleaned the following day.The building blocks for accommodation is a long walk away from the lobby and Cenang Beach high street. We did not eat at the restaurant apart from the breakfast, good food althought not too much variety. The staff were superb, from the front desk to the manager, they even placed a ping pong table in the lobby for us to play since it might have been too hot indoors. Overall it was very good value for money.

Shopping Tip : Towards the southern end of Cenang Beach next to the Underwater World there is a nice shopping centre for duty free shopping such as alcohol and cigarettes, do not buy electronics though as they will be cheaper in Kuala Lumpur.

location, pool, rate

worn out, TV,

arrived with mixed feelings due some previous bad reviews bur it was pleasantz surrprised. more occured review could be done only after staying in some other hotels in Langkawi and compare. room is quite big, for those who cant live without TV, that could be a problem (only 3 local programs). Breakfast decent, staff helpful and kind. definitely would recomend. but again, more accurate evalutaion could be only done by comparing with other hotels

Restaurant Tip : close to restaurants, beach...

Close to the beach

Dirty, bad swimming pool, limited reception opening hours, no bar

When I got to the hotel, the first thing I noticed was how dirty the place was. I definitely would not call this place a resort. A swimming pool is more like a pond and not a pool. The hotel guard did not make me feel safe but quite the opposite. I felt I was followed by him all the time... The staff did not understand English that well. The only good thing is the excellent location of the hotel.

Nightlife Tip : Babylon bar on the beach is the place to go when in Pantai Cenang. The staff is absolutely great and there is live music every night.

- Waterfall swimming pool - Big room

- Being welcomed by a stale smell in the room - stained curtains and carpet

The room was big but poorly maintained. The beddings have a smell which showed that the pillows were not changed since the day the hotel started. The only thing they would change is the bedsheet and pillow covers. The sink is choked and takes a long time for the water to flow. The rooms location is so far from the main lobby. Even in airconditioned room, theres mosquitoes flying around.

hotel was ok. room was clean and big. facing d pool. nearby to restaurants and the beach.

balcony was a little dirty. the hotel is a little dark in the night as had to walk a bit from the main reception. no lift.

overall, the hotel was fine. The rooms were clean but the kettle seems to be unused for long, so we opted out on coffee in the end. Breakfast was limited and the walk back to the hotel in the night can be quite dark as it's a distance from the main reception. my room faced the pool. I read comments saying that the pool is dirty and green but i think its meant to be that way, its sort of like a 'lagoon' concept. my room faced the pool so with the sliding door opened and curtains up, its really refreshing. But i do hate the walkway to the hotel. no lifts. Thank god i was staying on the 1st floor.

- great location from restaurants and shops

- old old, not well maintain - breakfast with very few options - many many cats around, so you sleep with baby crying noise

It was just 1 night I stayed, so for 1 night is ok if you're not going use the hotel facilities, just sleep. There are many noisy cats around the the entire area, and they cry a lot. For the price I pay it was expected what I got. Normal clean, old. Took 30 min to take us to the room.

Shopping Tip : Many shops near hotel.

Hotel 20mins drive from Airport. Simple shopping area & duty-free shop, & just a road across the beach. Place is very Peaceful & Room was spaceous with a small balcony for relaxation. Quite centralise when getting to most tourist arractions

Have to walk a distant about 10mins or so from lobby or hotel's cafe & no proper shelter walkway from Sun & Rain to our rooms then no elevators- we stayed on 3rd storey & can get quite tedious to climb steps especially with our shopping or with our heavy luggages. No cable TV or in-house movies & 3 TV channels were pathetic & in Malay. No night programmes for hotel's guest as all activities & tourist attractions shut down at 6pm.

Overall stay was quite pleasant, the staff were friendly. It was sad that they didn't provide few PCs for guest to use internet, because hardly will anyone bring Laptop when on an Island holiday. the pool was quite nice but abit too small & access to man-made water-fall was difficult. Since it's a beach resort, there should a drying area for our beach stuff or laundry services. There was no simple entertainment in the hotel & no cable TV or in house movie, which would be very good as EVERYTHING except eating places in the Island closes at 6pm & roads will get too dark to go drive around. Breakfast buffet should have better variety as there's nothing else to eat in the area in the mornings.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Just go ahead & rent a car in the Airport as the charges are about the same & you will save more time & money. It's so easy to drive around as there's 1 main road jus try to stay on it & stay away from muddy small lanes & you'll be fine. Don't hesitate to book the local tours as they are quite worth it. Seafood is consider reasonable & delicious- so go ahead & give yourself a treat.

all of their staffs are very polite and hold a lot of patient, good smile every minute... big space although their facilities not so good. with a good and different style swimming pool if it can more cleanliness...

a little bit old furnitures.

it is acceptable which in this price. i think this hotel is very good when they are new. And the location is good since there are many shops, stalls around this hotel. just few foot steps can go to the beach. we like this hotel which all of their staffs are very nice and helpful.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : they can help you to call the destination where u want to go is it open or not.
