i think this hotel is really great
a great view of sea village( i didn't live in the land village so i don't know the land village)
the staff in the hotel is very helpful and it is also convinence to get there.
i think this hotel is suitable for couple or family.
if possible i would like to live there for more long time.
but the price is rather expensive instead
and because it is upper the sea. some little insect appear in the toilet. but it didn't cause much problem
Travel tip : if you are driving to there , it is a little bit hard to find there

Big beach, Big room, Location is good! Beach is like your private one as there are not many people stay in the resort. sea view in room is perfect! staff is nice! adequate parking space, swimming pool is good and the view of sea villas is really nice
the breakfast was not in high standard... food was not attractive. and there are quite a lot of ants in the open area of the restaurant, they even come up to the table... the breakfast was not enjoyable
we are supposed to book a sea view room, however the staff there upgraded us to the largest room in the resort, we were all surprising by the arrangement and so do the room itself!! and the location was really good! it's just 5 mins drive to the airport and just 15 mins to the Cable Car station. the beach and swimming pool is perfect where there were almost no other visitor. we are quie free to enjoy the sun bathing! A good stay in this resort! will surely come back again!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : it is recommended to rent a car for your whole trip in the airport 1st so that u don't have to hire taxi to the resort.

The staffs were friendly, and the premier suites are great. Menus are great selections for buffets. Very Clean, nice view, very peaceful, great for relaxations. Over all they deserve 5 STARS..
We were suppose to be in the Junior suites on line it stated clearly that the junior suites all are equip with Internet connections but when we got there. Only the Premier suites have internet connections.
I felt that as along as someone pays the high price a night internet connections is a must have as it's internationally known. We were a little disappointing but however the hotel upgrade us to the Premier suite with no questioned asked. Very tactful and clever and it made us happy and we will be coming back and also recommend friends and family members about the resorts.
Just one other thing, which we felt was not so funny was the some of the drivers of the buggies, who speed and drives like MAD!!! maybe this is an area that the management can over sees to improved on.
OVERALL, was a wonderful experience, and the resorts staffs and environment is great!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Island Hopping; traditional Indian massage and the GEO tour.

We had a very nice stay at Lagoon resort, and found the atmosphere relaxing and friendly. But be warned- it does NOT look 5 star, not even close!
The pool is quite nice, for kids as well as for adults, and the sundeck offers a nice view of the bay. But it's all very worn. The fasade and most other things need a splash of paint here and there, bed linen should be replaced, inner walls either cleaned or painted. Rooms and corridors look dead boring and the artwork is just plain ugly.
However, the staff is very friendly and helpful, though the laid-back atmosphere seems to have rubbed off on them to some extent, as they proved to be forgetful and slow. We had to ask for everything twice, and the cleaning staff did'nt get to our room until 5-6 pm some days.
Restaurants may not be top rank but offer an interesting and tasty selection.
We found that the guests were mainly muslims, chinese or elderly. The party scene is far from Lagoon Resort, which suited us very well.
It all makes for a homey and relaxed feeling. We would happily recommend a stay at Lagoon as long as the price is right and your expectations not too high. If you, as oppose to homey, prefer luxury and spa-feeling, do check in at Datai, and if you want to party, go anywhere at Cenang Beach, for example Beach Garden.
We went for rest and relaxation, not for diving or sightseeing, but we did rent a car for a day and flashed through the few attractions. Black sand beach was nothing, waterfalls were lame, Kuah was sleepy, but the monkeys were plentiful. Conclusion is, go to Langkawi for the beaches and palm trees, not for the sights.

This is definitely not a five star hotel as thay say in their prospects. Needs refurnishing. You cannot swim in the sea. The water is very muddy.
The resort is located very isolated and there is no nice surroundings where you can walk. First evening we were alone in the restaurant.

Beach View, unfortunately the beach front stand a sign 'No swimming - low tide' that I believed it was there all year around.
Truly this is the worst experience of my 30 years travel. I was charged for 5 stars rate but received a 1 star service. The resort is packed of tour travelers made it like a funfair than a resort, facilities needed renovation. I have been changed room twice during my 3 night stay, nonworking key lock, broken toilet etc.>>
Staff are friendly but not assistant, can't help.

Hotel specifications romantic - I mean, the honeymoon thing a lot - on the beach is quiet and romantic, especially at dusk and the hotel in general rather small, but all the services and staff there smile and you know the inhabitants of the hotel.
I do not see a clear disadvantage in this hotel and I have a wireless Internet service is only in the lobby of the hotel and the rooms does not have wireless Internet.
This hotel is located on the beach is very beautiful, especially on the early morning and at dusk from the beautiful moments.
The hotel is located away from the public other hotels with a unique specificity - the entrance of the hotel like your entry to the zoo.
The lobby of the hotel is simple and quiet.
The breakfast buffet is not large, and not include a lot of small food.
My wife and I lived 4 days at the most beautiful and wonderful hotel.

Good location, close to airport an main strip of the island.
Nice staff.
The beach that was attached to the hotel was not as stunning as other beaches on the island, and the seawater was pretty filthy there aswell.
Externally the hotel looks very dilapidated and desperately in need of a new paintjob, but inside the hotel is nice, with marble floors and nice furnishings. We didn’t stay in the Sea Village, but those rooms looked stunning. The staff are warm and friendly. The hotel beach is a bit of a let down as the seawater was pretty murky (the water is enclosed in a bay area) and it’s not as picturesque as other resorts on the island. The swimming pool is good however and the sun loungers have nice views over the bay. The hotel is close to the airport (10mins drive) but I did not notice any air traffic and it is close the main strip Pantai Chenah.

A very clean and tidy hotel with its private beach. We enjoyed the sunrise at the beach. Fantastic experience.
The hotel is fantastic. However, Agoda's service needs improvement. I sent an email on 18 and 20 August, and called you concerning the charges of my trip but so far so feedback can be obtained.
Bad services stop the customer, prompt handling of the request of customers is a must for you. We enjoy the hotel, we thank you for your arrangement. However, you cannot give me an explanation on your charges for my booking. Even worse, it seems that you are trying to ignore me by not-replying to my request.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The culture centre provides wuite attrative crafts for the tourists.
