lovely hotel but poor service

Hotel is nice except for the poor service, poor restaurant food, too many mosquitoes, poor air conditioning. Hotel need more upgrading in their service. Not value for money even if it is on promotion. We have no intention of going back there and would not recomend it to friends.

Unusual lagoon hotel on stilts over water.

This hotel is not conveniently located near shops or food eateries, but the rooms are comfortable with adequate facilities.
However ordering food through room service is an option, and the meals served are good.
We enjoyed the quiet ambience of the palce,and having a good breakfast with a wide variety of choices.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There are limited choices of eating places for dinner within the hotel, so one is better off going outside to other restaurants.

Nice hotel decent size rooms and fairly clean

The hotel doesnt have many restaurants around it so in case you dont wish to eat in the Hotel you need to take a taxi. The Hotel was pleasant and stay was good. Needs a little maintainance as small things are not functioning. Separate charge for internet in rooms if you stay in the sea village while lobby is free....Staff is helpful and friendly......
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Mangrove should be done and excellent tour....and so is the Cable car......do go to a small restaurant called Dkhaas (Cenang beach)for great thai and chinese and malay food at dirt cheap prices

though it is located at a nice place, and the sea villa is wonderful to live above the shore, but the construction on shore destroyed the mood, and the service is really not convenient; spa service is so so, not worth the price; and the hotel room is not that clean. compared to what we have experienced in Bali, this hotel in Langkawi is not that joyful. btw, the Arabic restaurant is really nice, food is wonderful

Did not meet expectations
Studios on stilts in the sea were ok, but should be updated

Way overdue for a make-over. Food is not very good. Staff not all that friendly. It took 45 minutes to check out !! It does not at all deserve the 4 or 5 stars it is advertised at.
Travel tip:
We were quite disappointed and would not go back.
New Year's Eve special dinner was very expensive. We did not attend but came back before the count-down fire works; it turned out that only one third of the guests were still there.
