View of harbour,closeness to Kuah Town, breakfast ok.. Tv was ordinary..one english channel-espn, good if you like baseball etc...Seems to cater more to the Chinese market. Great, clean, budget stay in Kuah Town, Langkawi..Rooms are a little tired but clean and many have excellent views of harbour and surrounding islands.Staff were very professional and were asking what can be done to update or improve service..for me it was basically the tv, as it rained heavily for 2 days straight! So a bit of HBO or CNN or something would be great during idle times..Whilst its close to Kuah town, its a long way from airport and cenang beach..So do yourself a favour and hire car when you arrive by boat and stay here maybe a night or two..like a harbour hotel I think..
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If arriving by ferry, hire car as soon as you arrive..this will enable you to enjoy Langkawi more...(as cabs are too expensive and there are no public buses).

Nice seaview hotel, good price and hotel staff quite friendly i stayed seaview room with my husband on 28~30 Aug 09 through Agoda. Hotel close Jetty & shopping. Overall is okay and nice.

i booked a superior hill view room, but turned out they arranged a seaview room for me, i could even see the eagle square and sunset! that's very surprising! staffs are all very helpful and nice. especially the cleaning staffs, they are really professional and with good discipline. swimming pool is terrible, breakfast lack of variety, just have rice/noodle/bread/curry/sausage(sometimes)/scrambled egg/fruits...
seaview hotel is good for budgeted travellers, it has all basic facilities such as air-conditioning and wifi network, staffs are really nice and helpful, with good command of english. location is very close to fair shopping mall/jetty (snorkelling/island hopping tours can be found there), convenient!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : don't call a taxi via the hotel, since they will charge you 2RM more.

Best hotel amongst the four on my trip. Nice big rooms, excellent people, nice breakfast and fantastic view Away from the main market. but a shopping centre and Mc Donald was on a 10 minute walk. Attractions like Cable car, airport very far away but jetty point was on a distance of 15 minute walk Fantastic experience at Langkavi. Recommended for families and all types of travellers.

Good extra bed. Restaurant open till late. Connecting Rooms
Not very clean bathroom. Air conditioning not working in one room. Patio doors dont seal properly Hotel reasonably clean. Staff could do with improving on customer care. Bedding was dated. Bath doors rotting and rail rusting.

Close to port and post office has a swimming pool and is near Langkawi fair Receptionist staff are a bit rude, quite far away to restaurants We arrived at 12 pm with our huge bags and was told 'check in is at 2pm that is all' we asked if we could store our bags and walked to the post office and to get some food. We went to the pool in the afternoon and there were a few tiles missing and pervy men so I advise women to wear a full body wet suit. Room was clean.

Panoramic views over Bass Harbour. Good airconditioning, friendly and very helpful staff. Problem with power to airconditioner attended to within minutes. Walking distance to Langkawi Fair and Postoffice. A little further on to the Jetty for ferries and the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club. The description in the website of restaurant and bar/club facilities is incorrect. The hotel has a cafe for Malaysian style meals, no alcohol or bar, no pool table or darts board. On arrival I asked for a jug of ice which was delivered to my room within minutes. It was a jug with largish pieces of ice. The following afternoon I was asked to come down to the cafe for ice. I was given big chunks of ice in a bowl. The staff did not seem to understand or be able to provide ice cubes. No great problem as I bought plastic icecube maker bags and froze them in my room refrigerator.
The children in adjoining room were very noisy until near midnight each night. This is not the hotel's problem, just badly disiplined children. Perhaps the reception counter should have a note requesting that occupants of adjoining rooms keep the noise down late at night as guests in neighbouring rooms will be disturbed by noisy children late at night. The Langkawi Seaview is very good value for money and I could not fault the staff service. I think the website should be reviewed as it does not reflect the actual entertainment and eating areas. I was told the Government had purchased the hotel a short time ago and the management and operation of the hotel now conforms with Moslem traditions and not a mixture of Western and Moslem. I have recommended the Langkawi Seaview to three of my friends who will visit Langkawi in January 2010 for the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club Sailing Regatta.
Shopping Tip : Easy walking to large shopping centre, yacht club, ferries and tourist boats. In the opposite direction a reasonable walk to the centre of the town of Kuah

Considered the price paid, the hotel is worthy enough. However, that is all for the hotel. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. Nothing but the hotel. The hotel is not in the Kuah town. You have to take a cab to go to Kuah town or Jetty (although it is not that far). The taxi charges you flat fee. Ants are in the room. No remote control for the air conditioner in the room.
Shopping Tip : Lankawi fair shopping mall nearby.

quick response for maintenance Unfortunately the toilet stuck but only for a while, bath tub drain is too wide, my wife's ear ring drops in the drain n lost. There are no remote controls for TV and aircond. Seaview hotel is an economical hotel with a complete facilities. It is a suitable place for a couple for honeymoon where most of the time spend at hotel using hotels facilities (i.e. diner, swimming pool, lobby & etc). The location of the hotel made it quite to easy to find, and it is in the centre of attraction since it is near to the night market place, jetty kuah and duty free stores for item such as kitchen products, chocolates, t-shirts or even electronics gadgets (not so much choice though). Overall I would say that I like this hotel with the price that I pay, since it is worth every cent. =D
Shopping Tip : Nightmarket is very near to this hotel as well as restaurants

Nice outlook and friendly staff slow housekeeping request. no hot shower (might be due to the technical problem) Quite a nice place to stay although the location is not strategic compare to the others. A comfortable feel once entering the lobby and room. However the variety of the food during the breakfast can be improved. Poor housekeeping service. Secondly i am unlucky enough to get a room without hot shower available (might be due to the lacking of maintenance). As i went back to the room during midnight so lazy to go for complaining.
Shopping Tip : since it is located near the town area, so is easier to go for shopping.

Service was good, reception staff was helpful. Breakfast needs to be improved. Cleanliness around the hotel and noisy surrounding especially when there's something going on the field next to the hotel. Hotel was o.k, good deal and value for money, convenient and near to kuah town and jetty, shops and food. Slightly higher ranking than a budget hotel, breakfast was lousy. Anyway, its worth coming back and staying in this hotel. Not suitable for honeymooners.
Shopping Tip : Near to kuah town duty free shopping zone.
