Niyom Thai Restaurant
At the Niyom Thai Restaurant, the aroma of tantalizing Thai dishes will tease and tempt your palate. A wide range of authentic Thai dishes is available, including savory appetizers, salads, soups, vegetarian dishes and meat specialties, as well as mouth-watering desserts. Fresh seafood, such as lobsters, tiger prawns and garoupa, is available and prepared according to your taste. The restaurant is open daily for dinner from 6.30pm to 11pm.
Horizon and Cascade Pool Bars
Pelangi Beach Resort offers two open-air, freeform swimming pools with island bars. The Horizon is a stone's throw from the, while Cascade is intimately tucked away in the landscaped garden grounds. The menus offer a range of light snacks, a chef's specialty of the day and thirst quenchers. Both open daily from 11am to 6pm.
Pelangi Lounge
Little can equal the soiree mood at the Pelangi Lounge where musicians serenade the evening tropics with renditions of current and evergreen hits. Open 11am-1am, the Lounge serves a wide range of liqueurs, coffee specialties, scrumptious snacks, tapas, desserts, and cocktails.
Tepian Cenang/Cenang Beach Bar
The Tepian Cenang outlet provides a refreshing alternative venue for dinner. Raised on a platform about a meter above ground level, this outlet by the sea serves popular BBQ delights for dinner. Open daily from 7.30pm - 11pm, a live band, pool table and sports satellite TV channels provide the entertainment. Guests can dine inside the restaurant or on the sundecks by the sea. Nearby is Cenang Beach Bar, serving cold beers and cocktails. Open daily from noon till 11pm, it seats about 30 persons. Happy Hours are available from 5.30pm-7.30pm.

village in walking distance -Breakfast finishing at 10am was a bit early for us
-Breakfast can be crowded;
-Restaurants and beach bar have almost European prices Again we were on Langkawi and again we tried the Pelangi Beach, which is now called Meritus Pelangi Beach Hotel Resort & Spa. This is the 9th time that we were on Langkawi Island using the Pelangi the 5th time. We did not regret. The rooms are aging a bit, but clean with a high service mentality. Even the minibar prices are OK.
In walking distance you can reach a german / swiss restaurant with excelleant local (Thai, Malasian) and international (French/Italian/German) food, excellent wines and draft beer to reasonable prices. In teh village nearby you find fish restaurants with local príces and local conditions.

The stay at this 5 star hotel was wonderful. I had originally booked my hotel for Holiday Villa which was confirmed but then later i got a shock to know that my booking was cancelled.
Agoda gave me an option to stay at a Five Star Hotel, which came out to be luck for me.
Very beautiful hotel, excellent location and easy to navigate through the Town Center. Meritus Pelangi is a five star hotel but the products and packages they offer are 3 times expensive than in the market place.

friendly staff
best location We had booked a deluxe lake view room for our honeymoon. The hotel taxi came to pick us up from the airport. The receptionist said that since all lake view rooms are gone, they upgraded us to deluxe sea view room which was very kind of them.
The resort is located at 2 minute walking distance from cenang city centre which is very handy. you will find plenty of restaurants there.
Breakfasts were included in our package and they were brilliant as well.
