very nice hotel, perhaps a little tired

off season so not all restaurants open, facilities need upgrading, also pools had tiles missing from bottom,

island hopping, reasonable - but a bit long and no refreshments or real attractions where you are dropped off

good stay, excellent location
unfriendly staff, had to literally beg for the pool ball. The pool does not have a bar which was a dissapointment.

Great Location, Beautiful Hotel
Walking distance from all the restaurants, cheap souvenir shops and affordable Spas & booking agencies for day trips.

We had an enjoyable stay. Although the Hotel is about 20 years old, the rooms are huge and clean. Strong water pressure on the shower, and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too big or too small.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Best to book your own trips thru the budget agents just about 5 mins walk from the hotel. There's a lot of good restaurants in the Strip too, so many to choose from. Change your money in the Airport Money Changer as you get lower rates in the Island itself. If you are only staying for few days, it's best to hire a local Taxi for the day 6-7 hours for RM150, you'll get to a lot of places, and you have someonebto tell you where to go and what to do.

We arrived after having spent a week in Sheraton Beach hotel and did not have too high expectations, rather just wanted to try out two different resorts. We were very pleasently supriesed. The standar was good, the service was great and the kids (1 and 3 years) were very happy. The staff were very nice to the children and in the maritus club the staff even looked after them for a while so we could have a bite to eat and get a drink in peace....
We must recommend the family package with meritus club membership. Very price worthy alternative!!
The only not so good experience was when we one night had to opt for room service. We had fried noodles that did not at all live up to the good food we had when eating other meals at the resort.
One overall feeling was that the resort was not very busy (it might not have been high season but we sort bof felt that it was overstaffed and a bit emtpty.
Anyway, we will definately recommend the place to everyone!

A very relaxing stay. Beautiful white sandy beach. Very friendly staffs.
It was birthday when I stayed there ans I received a complementary cake from the hotel. And not to mention birthday wishes from the staffs. Worth every ringgit I payed.

It was welcoming....we arrived early and they were able to check us in within an hour.the room was quite big with a king sized bed and a single bed for my young son.we enjoyed the pool which is located near our room.Breakfast was good but there could be more varieties in food.they served the same breakfast everyday.
We liked the facilities available in the hotel especially the rented cars was quite new and well-maintained.our flight home was late in the evening so we opted to extend our room for a late checkout.the fee was reasonable.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
rent a car from the hotel and drive around the island.we went to the crocodile farm,mardi agro park and to the geo park which has a marvelous view at the peak.the whole family had a great time there.

Beautiful place with great staff!

I spent 3 nights at the resort with my husband and since it was too hot during the days we spent them in the pool. We were gladly surprised to see a bar by the pool where you could order and have drinks while IN the pool!
For dinner we ate in the restaurants in the resort, they have a good grill and seafood buffet on the beach. It was really nice to have dinner on the beach.
Big downside: They have a private beach, however it was too much seashells for us to be able to walk on the sand without sandals and I believe that's why no one was actually on the beach. It was better sand further up on the beach. (the part that didn't belonged to the resort)
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't miss their grill and seafood buffet by the beach.
