this hotel is so nice and beautiful,i booked 4 night but i stay only 2 night and i lift
hotel staff is not professional, the food very bad all frozen food no kitchen seems in this 5 star hotel, no test of them food, staff not friendly in reception, they do not care what you think about them internet cost 8 USD a hour, i do not have nice feeling there so i lift back to KL
and there is not any good place to eat out side the hotel, there is no nightlife

Good service but hotel too old!

Stayed at one of the garden terrances, the exterior looks ok but when we got in, noticed that everything is old, and i mean very old; wooden flooring is worn out and could hear people walking around above you. furniture is also old and needs to be replaced especially those in the patio, so dirty wouldnt dare to sit on it. Needs some major refurnishing in their rooms. Would come back only if rooms are totally refurnished.
My daughter left her laptop in the room after we checked out, noticed only before going into the boarding room, called the hotel and could retrived it back after about 30 mins, lucky that the hotel is close to the airport, although i miss the flight, but a big thank you to the staff at the hotel to send the laptop to the airport for us. Much appreicated!

good location, lovely beach
very convenient , in the middle of to Langkawi town and places of attraction.

Stay there for 3 nights, our children just love it. swimming pool just great for them , beach activities they enjoy. food stall near , room are spacious just like staying home instead of hotel cubical type

nice complex
large, private beach area. Quiet location, yet not too far from shops/restaurants

we enjoyed our stay very much. except for the tiny bathroom and the ridiculous tv, everything was great.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Use free Wlan at breakfast, prices are unnecessarily high. Sauna has to be turned on 30 mins before use.

It was really a pleasant stay. I stayed at room with pool view and the room is big, clean. They have good service and friendly as well. Hotel is near the airport(about 10-15mins drive) & it is at a nice beach where u can play their watersports. Nice place!

great room and the best places around the hotel is very great.

the place is very nice and great location .... and my rooms is very big and wasted for me to take 2 rooms because one of my room is very big and enough space for my family but the the problem is the chalet is very far for us to walk by and need to wait long time for the buggy to brings us back to chalet .. and the carpark also so far that hard for us to walk especially when raining ...we were driving by ourself and its really enjoy when we stay here ...

this was my first time to langkawi and my family and i truly enjoyed our stay here.the kids especially loved the pool with the slide. overall i have no complaints and will definitely come back again meritus pelangi beach resort & spa

Good location but slightly rundown
Nice sea-facing room, lovely architecture and friendly reception greetings.

wonderful location gave us a good view of the beach and access to the strip with the best restaurants but meritus didn't live up to their 5-star-hotel claim. the rooms were rundown and old, the bathrooms were small and unimpressive (looked more like a public toilet than it does a 5-star-hotel), the tv broke down after sunset, it lacked your standard tech gadgets we're used to at home - dvd player or even tv with usb access.
Restaurant Tip:
There's a nice pizza place called Artisans a 5 minute walk from the hotel

Great location and bayview hotel

The lakeside is dirty please clean up. The spa is nice and I had a enjoyable trip there with my hubby :) is great. Keep it on

we had a great time at the resort, the staff were very helpful, the location was great partcuarly with the private beach right near the pool area. more entertainment would be great otherwise we thoroughly enjojyed our stay. thank you
Nightlife Tip:
visit the eagle rock - one of the only places on the island that offers a good night out dancing and drinking. not many atm's on langkawi so take cash out and keep it in the safe to avoid getting stuck
