Beach, beach, beach and beautiful beach bar. Resident band. Wildlife. Close to cablecar and Oriental village.
Staff. Need to be better trained for friendly and efficient service.
No attempt to help with luggage, staff seemed very dettached.Rooms were very small, linen in not good condition needs more attentive staff when lazing by the beachfront...but beach was magnificent the beachbar was gorgeous and very romantic, palm trees swaying in the breeze, nice and close to the cablecar and attractions, monkeys on the patio was a treat. All in all a mediocre hotel and service in a brilliant setting.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't miss the cablecar!!!!

Have a beach, near cable car and old village
Far from kuah town, room is a little bit dirty dan the bathroom need renovation, many equipments need to be repaired
The hotel is nice, it has it own beach, near to the cable car and old village, but the bathroom is a little bit dirty dan the equipment is quite old, need to get changed with a new one, the hotel staff is friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and the price is not too high,so I think it is a great value hotel for those who want to go holiday with a small budget money
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It is so close to the cable car, so you don't need to get any taxi, just walk about 10 minutes distance from the hotel

Location, friendly staff and decent food.... very close to the cable car and oriental village...
The seaview room which we got did not give a very clear view to the sea because of the trees... Would be better if you check with the hotel before you book the sea view... Also note that the bathrooms do not have a bathtub but since its close to the sea it did not matter much.. No Wifi which was ok by me but my wife would have preferred if it had wifi but I can understand coz its all cabanas.... The business center charged RM10 per 10 mins which I felt was expensive....
I must say that my stay was a really satisfying one... Infact I would rate it to be one of the best.. The staff is really courteous and takes care of your requirements.... The view/bay is really cool and it has lot of water sports activity...To travel it is better to hire a car or a scooter to save money...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The beach and the proximity to the cable car...

The hotel is quite secluded, nothing else around, except one other hotel. Staff is nice and there seems to be enough people around even to deal with hectic breakfasts. Walking distance to marina with several good, although a bit pricey, restaurants. Check out for the tide, though!
Almost abit too secluded... You need to get on a cab, or rent a scooter or car, to get anywhere, except the marina. But taxis are available and the fares are fair! The bungalows seem a bit "cheap", but work well for sleeping. No hooks to hang up your things on in the rooms!
Good choice for firstcomers to Langkawi, especially if you're not too much after bustling night life. The houseband plays good mucic at the beach restaurant every evening. Kuah town and other places are reasonably near, 30-45 minutes by taxi, lots to see along the way.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Near the cable car!

Location, large grounds, private beach, plenty of sun loungers, good cafe for lunch, clean rooms,...
Cabins are a bit dated but only to be expected. Old style keys are difficult to use in the sliding doors.
Mutiara Burau Bay resort is a good choice in Langkawi for people who are looking for a comfortable mid-range accommodation away from the crwods. The huge, well-maintained gardens, private beach and plenty of sun-loungers allow you a feeling of privacy. you can also get clsoe to nature with plenty of monkeys and monitor lizards hanging around the resort.
Whilst service is "relaxed", the Sea-Shell cafe is a good option for lunch - The lamb shank is delicious! The fairly remote location of the resort (25mins by car from Pantai Cenang) means a hire car is adviseable, but the resort really has everything you need for a good 3-4 day break without ever needing to leave. The breakfast is good and copious, and the minimal interaction we had with staff was fine by Asian standards. The room is a little dated with linoleum floors, and the sliding doors are hard to lock with the old style keys, but these are really minor issues when you see what you are paying for! Your on holiday, relax and enjoy the scenery!!!
Restaurant Tip : Restaurant recommendations: Lighthouse at Pantai Cenang has REALLY great food, very friendly and attentive service and is genuinely amazing value for money! Highly recommended. MYR300 for 3 courses for 2 with a beer and glass of wine each. 8.5/10
Also, check out La Sal at Casa Del Mar...amazing setting on the beach, great for sunset (5-7pm-ish); starters and mains are very good, but not as good as Light House. Desserts were better than Lighthouse. Service less attentive but overall very nice experience. 8/10

The layout and surrounding features of this resort was the main feature. Its location is further enhanced by having Berjaya theme park where the cable cars are, waterfalls and horse riding stables within walking distance.
Rooms/cabanas are starting to show their age and falling apart.
Dining area where food is laid out was infested with ants. Some food offered in buffet was allowed to run out.
A good location with well landscaped surroundings. Beyond this, light bulbs of bedside lights were not working, taps in bathroom was beginning to become dislodged from the basin, the shower screen fell apart, followed by the sliding door to our studio cabana. There was no safe provided in the room for valuables. Staff at reception was friendly but extremely incompetent, for example, the date showing the duration of our stay on the voucher had to be pointed out to them as if they were illiterate. Dining area had some serious ant infestation. Finally, our booking of a garden view studio cabana turned out to be a 'back of cabanas view' studio cabana. Improvement is desperately needed.

Near to Airport, Nice beaches, near to Cable car station
Beach not too clean, away from shops, convenience stores
Reasonable price, but beach water was not too clean. Service satffs was OK, breakfast so so, nothing much to shout. Room was decent, clean & neat but too small for family of 3. Loaction was exclusive, near cable car station. Shops & restaurants around the area was limited & pricey.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get a rental car for RM60 - RM80 to move around langkawi as taxi will be pricey in remote loacted resorts.

Relaxed, green environment. Individual cabins (some with great views). Old units but everything worked. Great pool and beach area. Lots of space.
Some night lighting poor. Staff slow on uptake, e.g. slow to remove extra cot from my verandeh so it got rain-soaked. Slow service in buffet breakfast. Poviding complimentary water ONLY on the first day in a place where you cannot drink the water is just plain annoying - and could be dangerous. It certainly costs more in bad public relations than the free daily water would cost.
This is definitely not five-star, but it also didn't cost five-star. If you don't mind a slightly tired and run-down decor (but where everything still works), it's fine. I loved the low-key, laid back, spacious feel of the place; it's on a lovely "point" with monkeys and lizards; the beach is pleasant - lots of space; the surroundings are green and quiet. Definitely need a car - but you do for most of Langkawi. (Cheap to rent and easy to drive there)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Near cable car and LOTS of monkeys

Convenient, near to airport, great band, food was quite good as well
Upgrade rooms, look a bit old. Beach area a little rocky.
Mutira Burau Bay Resort is your average resort and is great if you don;t mind roughing it out a little. Personally, i think it's a bit overprice for the room you get but it's convenient as it's quite near the airport and to other places as well with a car.
The beach at this hotel is not as clean compared to other parts of the island as it's near a swamp area but still very nice view nonetheless.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Near the Cable Car and Telaga Tujuh. Just outside the hotel, there's a nice area to explore near the yatch club.

Close to beach. Spectacle monkeys. Breakfast okay. Beach side bar food and atmosphere.
Tired rooms and resort overall. Wildlife in restaurant not hygienic.
It rained every day of our stay so we didn't have the best holiday ever. The resort is tired and the rooms are basic, especially the bathrooms. We had graffiti on the bedroom wall dating back 2 years which had not been attended to. Beach and pool would be okay in good weather. Food etc at the beach side bar was okay but don't bother with the main restaurant/bar which is below standard. You need to hire a car to see the island as there isn't much in the immediate area. Adjacent resort looked much nicer and only cost a little more. We have recommended that our friends stay there instead.
Travel tip : Hire car from shop next to hotel. Eat out or at the hotel's beach side bar rather than the main dining room. Cable car is worth a visit.

-the studio room is very clean, spacious and cozy.
-very near to the beach.
-very near to the travel spot -cable car.
-the resort is very peaceful, make us feel so relax.
-the sliding door of the wet area in the bathroom needs to be replaced.
Overall, the resort is worth for money, especially the studio. Some minor repair works in the room is advisable. Hardly find varieties of food stalls around the resort. We have missed out several tourists spots or interesting places, including the cable car due to the non stop heavy rain during our stays in Langkawi. Luckily we have a good choice of place to stay in, our trip was turned out a rest and relax trip instead of island hopping trip.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hardly find varieties of food stalls around the resort. However, if you have rented car at the island, it is much more easier for you to access every ways.

Great breakfast buffet, nice and relaxing place, great deal!
I was planning to book in a different hotel at first but good thing I decided to go to this place. The breakfast buffet was great, a lot of food and cuisine to choose from. The place generally had it all and I really like the rooms as it was very cosy. The staff were friendly and accomodating and we did not have any worries for the whole stay! I recommend this place to everyone cause it really is a great deal!
