- We where very impressed by our Superior Gardenview room. The bathroom was amazing.
The room also happened to be located within 25 m from the sea and gave an amazing view.
- The food was excellent.
- Complementary kajaking is great. - The SPA centre was a waste of our money.
My girlfriend took a facial treatment from 1 hour.
The masseuse was away for 20 mins. (While she was waiting)
People kept walking in and out the room to clean up.
There was alot of chatting which made it non relaxing.
And last but not least the actual massage took about 1 to 2 min.
If you then compare this to the price we paid it's rediculous.
- The ferry point is far from civilazation and thus u need a taxi for every trip u want to make. We booked the Taj Hotel & Resorts for 5 days to finish our holiday doing nothing at all.
If you want this we recommend this place.
If you want an active holiday this is not the place for you to be.
We found out that 5 days doing nothing at all was way to long for us and we got bored.
Off course there are excursions but we did all these excursions in our previous resort.

Excellent Service; Great Place on a Private Island; Good Living and Dining Environment Complimentary Sea Transfer Service Not Frequent Enough Our stay at the hotel and resort was just excellent, with excellent services provided by the resort and superb seaview of the private island. The environment was just paradise-like~

the best pro is by far the service. They knew our names and were extremely accomdating from the beginning. The restaurant was very good. The room that I stayed in (deluxe sea view) was very beautiful. The landscaping was also very beautiful. The gym was really bad. There was enough to work out barely, and the only treadmill broke. The beach was not that nice. There were some run down facilities in the resort that brought down the overall appearance. The ferry to the main island does not have good hours, and to schedule one is like 70 USD. The dinners at the restaurant are like 25-40 USD per person, the lunches are a little less tho, and you are going to eat there often since it is private island. The service was very nice, the room was beautiful, but overall, the resort could use some serious maintenance for a 5 star rating. The restaurant was excellent, but definetely not a value buy. As excellent as the staff was, I dont think the resort was as nice as I was expecting. I feel narginally, tentatively satisfied
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do not go to Kua town to shop (sp?) go to pentai chenang, if you are looking for local Malaysian type stuff. If you want American/European stuff (not even nice stores but just ok stuff), go to the malls, but who wants that in Langkawi? There is a batik factory which is nice but expensive. Another tip, get some food from the harbour store, and munch on it instead of catching a meal once or twice.
