the room is very nice,specilly the bed is very comformtable..
but i d't like the wash room because the bath tub is not the normal bath tub,u c't even sleep and enjoy inside.

Perfect getaway hotel

the hotel is perfect for getting away from the day to day rush although a short taxi ride will take you to shopping malls, alternative beaches etc.
plus side is the large room and isolated beach, very friendly and attentative staff.
food is okay but could be improved with a better menu, lacks basic meals/snacks.
it does add to the relaxed feel!
would we go back? yes--
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Use a local taxi driver for half day outings, the cost is very reasonable.

decent resort but lacks atmosphere

ok resort, but lacks facilities and things to do. Restuarant is horrendously expensive (cheaper to go to cennang beach and have a meal there). Staff could do better, they look very busy, Overall the resort is ok, however for an expensive 5 star resort it could do a lot better.

Superb Hotel for a restful break

This Hotel was exactly what we were looking for - beautiful setting, quiet (apart from gentle jungle and sea background sounds), very helpful staff and wildlife from the balcony. Great base for exploring the quiet Island of Langkawi which is a fine reflection of Malaysia. This is not a hotel for an active nightlife, unless you enjoy nocturnal wildlife safaris.

Tranquil and beautiful

this was our second time at tanjung sanctuary. we returned for a quiet and restful break and were not disappointed. it has beautiful scenery from your balcony and frequent wildlife sightings. we enjoyed the many choices of places to relax and read/sleep. the food remains good although when the restaurant was catering for a wedding the service slipped. for an extended stay the food costs can be quite expensive but the vistas while eating are unbeaten. we would return with a similar expectation of a restful time.

The hotel is overall a good choice for travellers seeking the quietness and privacy. However, it lacks certain standards of a 5-star accommodation, namely cleanliness in the premises and service orientation (in case you miss the breakfast hours by a few minutes).
Restaurant Tip:
Dining at the restaurant at sunset is a must do.

Great place to chill out
Great service; spacious and well equipped villas; free sunset cocktails

Small and cosy resort with great service. Villas are very spacious, private and well equipped. Monkeys were no problem. Food and beverage was good. Highlight was the nightly free predinner cocktail whilst enjoying the sunset from the deck. the decent expanse of beach made up for this.

fantastic, peaceful resort

we had a fantastic time at tanjung sanctuary, the room and restaurant service was first class, the team at tanjung made us feel very welcome and were very accommodating to our requests, the pool was under reconstuction when we were there which was the only downer, apart from that we had a fantastic time.

the staff was accomadating, helpful, polite and understanding. we had actually booked a hilltop villa but when we were shown the room we realized it had a king sized bed and both me and my friend preferred to sleep on single beds. so the hotel staff immediately upgraded us to the beach view villa (the rooms that still had available single beds)and the view was exquisite from there!! (by the way the beach view villas are more expensive). the rooms were spacious and clean! the bathroom was very nice, big and clean, with a nice tub. the sea breeze was refreshing, the view breathtaking and the sound of the waves relaxing. the hotel food was also suprisingly excellent! both the local and western dishes were delicious! as well as their breakfast buffet. totally unexpected! the hotel has this lovely service, in the evenings at sunset they will provide you with mocktails and canapes (all on the house) on the restaurant deck as you enjoy the sunset, that was an amazing experience! overall an excellent and memorable trip thanks to tanjung sanctuary resort!
