Location in The middle of the rainforest

nice beach Half of staff had no service mentality at all!
Very friendly and good staff in The restaurant but thats it To be honest we expectid much more. The main house with the reception, lounge and bar was amazing but when we got to our room (209) we thought we are in à different movie as it was very small and The bathroom had The charme i experienced The last Time on my Trip to The ymca in Odessa. Over the hole stay we were anoyed about the service and the topping was The early checkout and the inhouse driver was nor showing up for bringing us to The airport and The receptionist was not really Making Things happen... We convinced The concierge to drive us and we were happy to leave.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Monkeys At The Beach are fantastic and you can Watch them for hours

VERY NICE RESORT SITUATED ON THE BEST BEACH OF

FAR FROM DOWN TOWN AND MANY ATTRACTIONS I really suggest to go to Andaman Hotel. This hotel is pefect; it is important to choose LANAI ROOM in this way you have balcony (with table and 2 deckchairs)and you will go to the beach in excatly 30 seconds!!!! WONDERFUL.... SUPER. very nice swimming pool with different restaurants and bar. live musice all nights; romantic dinner on the beach...barbecue...and possibility to go for lunch or dinner in DATAI RESORT (free pik up).
I sugget to use car or scooter to visit the island.
Restaurant Tip : It is possible to test malesyan, thainland, international kitchen. Breakfat i very nice!!!

Good location if you want to escape from the outside world. Service and staff are great. Great views and beaches. Drinking and eating at the hotel can be expensive, and there are no others places to eat/drink within walking distance. The resort is beautiful. It's location in a rain forest is quite unique. The buffet breakfast and the service generally was very good. There's not much to do if the weather is bad apart from rent complimentary DVDs. The price of food and drink at the resort is high compared to normal Malaysia prices, however are about the same as London, UK.
Restaurant Tip : Visit the nearby Datai Resort for dinner, the hotel offer complimentary transportation for this.

Excellent location right on the beach and in the rainforest. Good standard of service. Hotel is a little spreadout. Watch out for the monkeys if your balcony door is open as they have no fear and will empty your mini bar out including Pringles and any wallets/cameras ! Really enjoyed our stay in a great setting - very safe beach, placid no real waves. Nice pool. Limited eating establishments (one beach bar,main restauraunt and Japanese) but can eat at the sister hotel The Datai just up the road (with signing privelidges) - more choice. Definitely worth a revisit.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Kayaking in the marine park area.

Staff service, quality of food, cleanliness, room features Overtly expensive drinks! I cannot fault the Hotel or it's staff. My only criticism is that regardless of what I pay to stay in any Hotel I object to being charged 20MR for a Tiger beer that I can buy in a store for 1.8RM! This insults my intelligence: if the Management want to maximise profits sell only premium beer!
Restaurant Tip : If you need to drink bottled water(the local tap water is perfectly adequate) then ask for Summer at 5MR rather than Evian at three times the price!

The breakfast was poor
The hotel was dirty
The Andaman was not what I had hoped for. I have travelled around the region and there is so many better hotels than this for less. It was looking quite old and generally very dirty - my wife had to wet wipe the high chairs every breakfast and the cloth was black with dirt. The services was mixed. I had asked for two cots on arrival at 10pm for my babies - they were not there. So they suggested my 10 month old sleep on the couch.
Breakfast was poor. Other food was acceptable but limited. Most of the hotel was smoking which was a surprise. Rooms were OK.

Great view, quiet, and friendly. Really wonderful place for romantic getaway. It is a bit far from town. It's much more convenient to rent a car. Too much ant in the room. Beautiful sand beach, very quiet and clean. We love observing wild animals and search for them each morninig when we got out of the room. We got to know a bit about Rainforest and deeply concerned about conserving the planet. The Hotel crew are nice and friendly, always with smile. Breakfast is great with variety of food that changes daily. We will definitly come back again next time.

Quite location, surrounded by jungle and great service by staff. If you want to get to town it is a little out of the way. We had a great place and as soon as we checked in they gave us complimentary breakfast and room up grade due to a slight miss understanding during the booking process. They handle complaints and feedback with prompt follow up.
Breakfast was nice. Beach gets a little rubbish washed up but still fine. You can walk down to Datai their sister resort.
Massage was bliss and in a villa on the cliff edge.
Would stay there again

proffesional staff, superb location, we just love the beach front and the rainforest combination. increase of the taste and the food quality. a superb location for honeymoon, a combination of private beach front and rain forest make us really enjoy our stay in the andaman. friendly staff absolutely help us, nice buffet breakfast with the datai bay beach view restaurant, and what a beautiful nature environment.
we got a wonderful room with great view of the rain forest facing datai bay beach. we did enjoy the stay as we can heard the voice of birds around the hotels and at the night we can heard the ocean's wave from our room, it's just nature.
we wish we were there with our kids as we just come both of us on our second honeymoon.
Restaurant Tip : increase the taste and the quality of the food, the decoration of the food was wonderful and it would great to have the best quality taste of food.

Beautiful bay, great beach, great hotel good service Expensive food and beverages. They would sell more if prices were a bit less The experience of the resort is excellent. The rooms are well appointed and the service is friendly and good. The location even though remote is idyllic. The beach is gorgeous and the views great. The surrounding jungle is pristine and this hotel and Datai bay are truly something special. I have traveled the world for 35 years and this is one of the best. We had a few relatively minor issues during our five day stay but they were taken care of in a friendly and efficient way. The food quality is good although it tends to be expensive however there are decent alternate and less expensive choices within 25 minutes of the hotel.
I would highly recommend the Andaman to anyone looking for a romantic vacation or a family vacation in a quiet and pristine environment.

private beach with a beach bar, pool alongside the beach, spa/massage rooms overlooking the beach, large rooms, friendly staff and service could not fault this hotel The Andaman Hotel in Langkawi is breathtakingly beautiful. It is nestled in a lush rainforest with a winding road all the way to the bottom where the rainforest meets the ocean. With a private beach and beach bar, a pool alongside the beach, a spa/massage room overlooking the beach, large rooms, friendly staff and service, and fantastic food – this hotel cannot be overlooked. Why pay more for The Daitai when The Andaman is closer to the beach (on the same private beach as the Datai Hotel) and just as beautiful!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel offers plenty of sightseeing and attractions - we did not even leave the resort for 3 days!

- Restaurants are not up to standard This hotel is truly heaven on earth. From you step into the hotel you feel welcome. They get our best recommendations. So if you are going to Langkawi this is the place to stay.The hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful locations in Langkawi, close to some of the islands top attractions. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast and the food in the main restaurant are not quite up to the standard of the rest of the hotel, but on the other hand are the pizza at the pool bar worthy of Italy.

Peaceful setting. Feeling of being at one with nature!! Excellent views! Dining in the hotel is expensive My wife and I had a great experience at the Andaman. the hotel is 5 star luxury with excellent views of the andaman sea. The property itself is nestled within the rainforest.
The staff are very courteous and the rooms are spacious. The bathroom has a very modern feel to it. All in all it was an excellent stay at the Andaman and we look forward to going back there next year god willing.
