Spacious guest room The lobby is tiny which doesn't look like a four stars hotel. The swimming pool also very small which doesn't look like what is seen in photo posted in internet. The guest room is very spacious which is big enough for family of four, but the toilet always has minor trouble, such as the sink and the shower. The location is very convenience. Restaurants and shops are all in walking distance.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, good and varied breakfast buffet Bathrooms need modernisation Hotel is not too far from the airport so easy taxi ride away. Beach is steps away from the swimming pool. Great location within walking distance to good restaurants, shops and spas. Breakfast buffet has something for everyone and is varied every day so you don't get bored with the selection. Only complaint the bathrooms could do with updating.
Restaurant Tip : Within walking distance, exit right of the hotel is Sheelas which has a good mix of Malaysian and Western food at reasonable prices in a beautiful garden setting. Also same direction Restaurant Kantan, set in a stunning traditional Malay style building, has excellent local cuisine. Walking along the beach is The Lighthouse, a great spot for lunch or dinner.

Position is fantastic. We had a Sea View chalet and it was great. We had to be moved initially as they put us right next to the kitchen and it was too noisy. The facilities are lovely and clean and tidy and the staff efficient. Would highly recommend this place The restaurnt is in such a lovely position it is a shame that it is not used more at night by guests. The food was good but they price themselves out of the market. It would be more sensible to be competitive and not have to pay all those staff to do nothing. The desserts were very ordinary. We had a truly lovely time here and i would hi9ghly recommend this place

Surroundings, atmosphere, view I stayed here for one night and it was nice. Take the seaview villa if you can afford it. Pool is small but comfy for realxing, if there aren't too many people. The salt water pool is usually empty.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a scooter coz the walk to Pantai Cenang can be a bit much.

Good location nearby a lot of restaurant somewhere around the resort, salt water swimming pool. Overall is fine but be careful if you doesn't like cat because so many cat's was laying around the resort and disturbed our mood which scared my girlfriend crying during breakfast time. In fact except the cats disturbing during breakfast time, everything's good and fantastic, we get arranged a very nice room just few steps to salt pool and amazing sea view from our room. The bed and room layout is comfortable, don't miss the salt pool if you stay in this resort and you can find some different. Resort location is good. It's recommended resort if you planning a trip to langkawi and i will definitely stay with this resort again for my next trip to langkawi.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Strongly recommend the 'Teng Long' Restaurant just near by the resort and suggest to rent a car to explore the island.

front beach land, peacefull Despite of the bad weather, we had a very good time at this hotel. The front beach land is very beautiful and pieceful. The hotel is also not too far from the small village, where you can find almost all you need, from supermarkets to restaurants. Try to get a bungaloo with sea view: it's worth.
Restaurant Tip : Please try the restaurant just outside the place. First one at the left handside when you exit the main gate.

Very few beach restaurants on Tengah.
Jellyfish warning,there were two windy days that were bringing jellyfish to shore but had the pools to go to. Very nice property near many restaurants within 5-15 minute walk. No problems with checking in with Agoda voucher. Great fruit stand nearby and clothes washing across road. The staff is very friendly from grounds crew to front desk. Two pools, one that had mainly adults & one with whirlpools & paddling pool that had adults/children. Good buffet breakfast with some items rotated daily, omelettes & eggs cooked to order. Nice large room with fridge, electric jug with tea/coffee, 2 bottles of water daily & water from tap is potable. ATM in the airport and moneychanger on way to Cenang. At least 3 stores nearby and Gecko Mini Mart (10 mins away) has just about everything. Would gladly stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Recommend the Mangrove safari (6 hours) as well as the Cable car. Also, when using the taxi, fares are set and the driver should have a copy in his cab.

Location,room and a very friendly service. Spent a week with my family at this place in January 2008. It was just an amazing place to stay. Fantastic location, great rooms, and very friendly people giving the best of service. You are practically staying at the beach and it's a short walk to lots of resturants etc. A great experience.

Outdoor rainshower, hotel layout. Hard bed, a bit expensive meals. This is a nice hotel located directly on Pantai Tengah. The villas are reasonably separated from each other in a well maintained garden. The bathroom features an outdoor rainshower with water heated from a solar panel mounted on the roof. Each villa has a terrace the only downside is the bed which is a bit hard. The breakfast is served in a beautiful location facing the beach, however the other meals are better to be had outside the hotel.
Restaurant Tip : Fat Mum located approximately 200 meters to the right when exiting the hotel entrance serves delicious and reasonably priced seafood.

We went to Frangipani for honeymoon, we found it was great. The beach is beautiful. The villa is clean and comfortable, quiet and peaceful. Birds sing everyday just around you. Overall, a great resort for vacation, you can really relax there. However, the food is average, it would be better if more types of food are added.

The shower and nice chalet. In the chalet you have a shower that is a little bit outside the chalet. it is an outside shower but nobody can see you showering. When you are showering you will hear all the birds singing and the feeling of being close to nature is great. The chalet has a lot of space and the beds and pillows are good. The food at the restaurant is also nice and the Jaccuzi by the pool is great.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a Mangrove tour. You can book this trip in the hotel lobby.

This is a nice little hotel with a nice pool area. Its not best of the best but its very good for a budget hotel. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very pleasant. Overall a nice experience....

good location, nice beach, good restaurants in the surroundings, nice people, free internet it says frangipani 'hotel & spa' , but there is no spa, just a massage table on the beach (with really good massages though!). the resort should make a real spa for its guests. We enjoyed our stay at the frangipani during the last week of august 2008. It's a nice place, just in front of a quiet beach, nice areas and cozy chalets all over the garden. Just outside the resort there are some good restaurants and if you rent a scooter you can really enjoy the surroundings!
Travel tip : Try the restaurant 'sundays' just across the street! Rent a scooter and go to the cable car (just 20 minutes away) and the Seven Wells, where you can find a great cascade!

beach and proximity to the little town The water was nasty...rooms were not upto par and food was very marginal. So disappointed, expected a beautiful place. The owners are trying to make it beautiful by growing a lot of plants but need more plants around the resort. Very few Frangipini around!!
Restaurant Tip : The 3 resturants -just as you exit take the left and they are on the right side - there are Spanish,Indian & Italian....all very good.
