Do not miss it...
You will enjoy the typical style of this guesthouse, next to the Baba-Nonya Museum. The staff is very friendly and the location is perfect.

This guesthouse is centrally located but still quiet (though the walls were so thin we could hear the amorous couple next door), and in a lovely old Nyonya building. The room was very small but clean and the communal areas were homely. The breakfast was too small however. The staff were rude: when my husband arrived a couple of hours early they refused to let him leave his heavy bag there whilst they got the room ready and told him he couldn't even wait in the cafe or reception. They also know nothing about the local area and had no maps of the city.

It was good. Takes a bit of adaptability to live with shared bath/shower facilities, but not big deal. Lots of original features, including steep staircase and creaky floorboards, but all part of the charm.

Everything good as mentioned in other reviews. Highly recommend this hotel for weekend stay to experience the weekend night market and eat local food like laksa, chengdol & "look look ". Only 5 rooms available in this big old house converted into a friendly guesthouse. Has 3 very clean shared bathrooms provided with soap dispenser, rest of toiletries bring yourself. Hot & cold water dispenser with coffee & tea bags provided. Room has ceiling fan beside aircon. Only problem is noisy traffic till midnight and at 6 am prayer from nearby mosque - for a few short minutes.
