Almost all rooms are sea view
lots of ants, bad job with the cleaning.
Good location by the beach with most of the rooms face the sea. However, I wouldn't consider this place as a 4 stars hotel. This is due to the poor service mind of staff. Housekeeper not clean the room properly ie. they just only change the bed cover but not clean the restroom as well as the living area. There are insect all over the sofa bed and in the bed room area. I requested to have the room changed but the receptionist informed the room are fully occupied. But it's not true, coz I checked in around 2PM and found many of tourists proceed to check in during night time. And truly speaking, the operator hung up the phone upon and totally ignored my request. I consider this is extremely improper.

Beautiful Hotel external facade at night. Relaxed and peaceful getaway.
Spacious and well facilitated room, however, needs major touch-up. Hotel external facade looks stunning at night, sad though it really needs touching up work and maintenance to make it better. Other than that, most of the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast served was good. Overall still a pleasant and peaceful getaway at an affordable price.

Very clean and neat rooms.
Room Service food was fantastic.
A particular indian hotel staff was rude and did not assist to open the hotel door despite seeing us walking to the door with our luggages.
Breakfast variety could be increased. There was no top up of utensils.
The hotel was easy to find but we were caught in a heavy traffic due to road works. We were also hoping that since the hotel was next to the beach, we could relax at the beach but to our dismay, the water was dirty and so we had to be contented to just swim in the pool. The food menu for room service was super expensive and in the end we had to opt for the 2 pax meal which was much cheaper. Even drinks were expensive
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Town was nearby for sightseeing

still presentable and friendly staff
the carpet smell horribly
if only they can clean their carpet or even spray some chemical so that it does not stink I think the resort could be very nice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you have a car this hotel is fine. It is by the beach.

staff was not so friendly
I am really disappointed with the agoda service. I was book and pay for 3 adult to stay for 2 night. BUT... when I check-in, they (hotel) just give me a room for 2 person (include breakfast for 2 person). even, when i ask for extra towel, they ask me to pay RM10.... when I ask the receptionist about that, She told that the agoda just book for 2 person. so, what happen is, when we having our breakfast one of us have TO PAY other amout (RM34 for each breakfast, so we have to pay extra RM68 for 2 days). I promise to my self that this is my 1st and last time to use Agoda service. I'm really dissapointed.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : so many interesting activity in Malaka. I think 1 night is not enough to explore so many place.

Nice balcony, peaceful surroundings.
Building badly run down, lift smelt terrible(not been cleaned for a long time). Room and bathroom in need of repairs.
It must have been a very nice hotel originally. The setting is nice, good sea views and a more than adequate swimming pool. Building is in very bad need of repairs and so is the room (although room was clean). Passageways look dingy and the lift in the garden wing has an awful smell to it. Only one restaurant (not what was advertised) and it only served buffet dinner, room service was very poor.

Rooms are run down, need to pay for extra towels at 10 ringgit each towel. Cheap Philippine band playing at lounge.
Arrive 1 day after Christmas, this hotel is located way out of town fortunately there are free shuttle services to the mall. Overcrowded and pack when arrived feels like a market. Booked a suite room and requested for extra towel, pillow and blanket which was flatly turned down due to the pack crowd. What is shocking is the charge for extra towel 10 ringgit each towel this is my first experience being charge for towel. Sofa in room looks like the 80's furniture. Lounge in hotel provides drinking with live Philippine band. Am shocked with the band. Was informed by 1 of girlfriends that there are girls flirting with our men and requested us to check on them. This has shocked me when I arrived later and realised that the female singers at the lounges are allowed to sit and drink with customers and obviously they have sat at our all guys table. These actions are not tolerated. They should be performing elsewhere and not in a hotel meant for family stay.

Big Size Superior Garden View Room
Room furniture is dated and worn. Bed is too soft.
It was Hari Raya Haji long weekend. The whole world seemed to have descended into Melaka. Most hotels near the city are all booked out. Guess, Everly, with their great number of rooms, there are still vacancies online. For a lesser amount I could have gotten a new and nicer hotel room near the city center. The saving grace is that we got a huge room - more like a suite with a separate living area, kitchenette and bathroom! Problem is that Everly (formerly Riveria Bay)is pretty dated by now. More then 10 years ago, I had a nice stay. Now, even though the external facade has a fresh coat of paint, the insides still remains the same. So are the rooms! The furniture is dated and worn. The bed is too soft. I think the springs have lost their tension! The morning breakfast is pretty OK. The usual local and continental stuff. With the huge long weekend crowd, it can be quite a fight at breakfast. The spread was replenished quite quickly but suffered the shortage of utensils and crockery. Anyhow, the friendly staff still did their best to accommodate us. I would say its an OK stay for us. Staying further out, we don't have to suffer the bustle of the city at the time. The place also have a great Straits of Melaka view. Would have been a great stay if Everly have re-newed and upgraded itself.

Swimming pool is nice, view is good. Renovation work is in progress, you can swim at a nice pool and see the painting work that is going on.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Around the hotel there is lack of restaurants (except hotel's restaurant). The hotel holds many meetings and seminars at convention hall. Less tourists. Facilities are old and unattractive.

Friendly service. Nice beach. Convenient location. Nice room with fantastic view.
Shortly before we had arrived, the property had been sold to new owners, who were in the process of renovation. Also I guess it was the off season, so not all facilities were open. Furnishings looked a bit "used," and could stand to be replaced.
It was a very large property, but because of the off season, the occupany rate was low. The new owners were in process of a much needed renovation, which probably lasted another month or two after we left. It is a hotel with great potential. It is located quite some distance from town, but that may be a plus, as the beach was extremely well located.
