The room is comfort and spacious for two addults and a child. Two beds in a room, a TV with all Malaysia channels and a minibar meet the minimum requirement for a simple traveller even in a family of four. Opposite this hotel lies a small shop selling Indian food like mee goreng and drinks. Distance to town in Melaka Raya although quite a distance but no problem for those with cars as you get to watch the scenery of Melaka when you travel from this hotel to Melaka Raya, anyway it is just about 10 mins by car. Hotel also has roti prata and other varities for breakfast. Drinks like coffee & tea as well as juice. There is also a swimming pool on the lat floor of this hotel although the pool is small but is enough for you to relax. Although parking within the hotel premises is limited, you can park in an open sandy space just besides the hotel in way of the food market. If you have yr hotel facing this sandy parking lot, then you have no worry on missing to look at your vehicle. Parking space is quite limited. However, I got parking space when I checked in. When I left for shopping and on my return I still got an empty parking space but maybe that was my luck. If unlucky, you might not get any parking within the hotel. And the staff are friendly. The Hotel is a bit old and need some renovation works. The location is good. The staff are friendly.The breakfast is excellent. The room is spacious. Car park is small and congested and need a little re-work. And also some renovation on the interor and exterior will definitely enhanced Grand Continental.

Reception is friendly, room is big water heater not functioning, no TV remote control, no room temperature control(centralize), no floor carpet, old tower i tot 'grand continental' should be good, but no way good...
after check-in, i am suprise nowadays still got hotel using conventional room 'key' , instead of coded chip-card. Meaning that the 'key' can be duplicated by previous user..i think they should upgrade this.
then i look around the room, cannot find any temperature control for the room.no TV remote control also. this is still ok with me, but there is no 'hot water' when i am taking a shower.
Rated as '3 star', i think this is not acceptable.
after shower, the tower are old and there is no hand tower..
Breakfast is ok.
Overall,i think i would not stay in this hotel again.
