Walkable distance to the tourism spots
Convenience, comfortable Actually there are not many hotels in Melacca but we chose Hotel Equatorial because it is very close to the tourism spots, we can easily walk and no need to take taxi. Have a little terrace which can view the Melacca's city. The bed is comfortable and in the morning, we can hear the students' singin (as there is a school nearby)

Just beside Mega Mall and the central of attraction, convenience The room that I stay, the toilet bowl flush difficult to flush, no toothbrush, the fridge no drinks They should improve the functioning of the lift. Wait very long for the lift to come bcos all the 6 lift goes up at the same time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The traffic is a one way traffic therefore to cross the road have to look up carefully.

Walking distance to central attraction Drive to the hotel entrance a bit dangerous bcos beside the mega mall carpark exit. no lift landing to the carpark and carpark sign not very clear for first timer. Front desk only 2 staff so checking out very slow. The hotel should provide the hotel invoice irregardless of booking through agent. As some guest can claim subsidary from company and company need the invoice from hotel for the period of stay

Close to the new shopping centre and with lots of eateries. The room is big and has good view - if you are staying on the high floor. Gym is quite updated. Checking-in was a breeze and the staff are friendly. We like the fact that the room has a nice view of the sea. The room generally has an "old" feeling, maybe it is about time for some renovation to give the fixtures and furniture a face-lift. The shopping centre is within walking distance and that is a plus point as there is nothing much to do in Malacca except to eat and shop.

Great location
Good service
Superb Club room Our second time in Malacca, but first time at the Equatorial there. It's a nice hotel, with friendly staff, very good room service, and very large room.
But the overall hotel doesn't give the usual five-star feeling, one gets from Equatorial hotels in Penang or even KL.
A huge bonus though, the valet service washed our car unasked and for free (major brownie points) broadband internet access was free, everyone was friendly and helpful. We will certainly stay there again next time.
Shopping Tip : The Careefour mall is accross the street, a huge shopping complex is just behind that.
Do check out Jonkers Street for Chinese furniture and antiquities.

Good location, easy access to many shopping centres.
Did not ask for deposit by credit card and so was unable to sign to room for dining at restaurants in hotel. Nonetheless, it's I find this hotel very suitable for me to spend a few hours walking around the nearby area without having to go too far.
Restaurant Tip : The coffee house inside hotel serves great food!

It's in a centralised area where it is accessible to most of the places of interest and of course shopping and food. None that I can think of. The staff at the counter were efficient and accomodating. Arrived early at about 1.00pm and staff made exception for early check-in. Was pretty pleased too on the check-out, fast with no hassle. The room service was prompt and everything else was clean. It makes our weekend stay a pleasant and fruitful one. I've told several of my colleagues and friends about your hotel and we've planned to go there in Jul. In fact I now have great trust using the Agoda online bookings. Thank you for this great service.

Strategic location, one minute walk to mega malls,
5 minutes drive away from Portuguese settlement.
Friendly staffs, clean room. Electrical power/switch failure encountered during the stay.
Water in runs unstable .. sudden rush of extremely hot water during bath, dangerous for young kids. I would still choose to stay in Hotel Equatorial Melaka during my next visit as it's the most convenient hotel in Malacca. Parking is safe as there are guards 24/7 guarding the carpark. The room is cosy, clean and comfy. Hotel staffs are attentive and friendly; help came within ten minutes after we called the front desk.

Nice sea view and comfy room. The staff are helpful and friendly. It is next to the largest shopping mall. I had an pleasant stay over at hotel equatorial over the last weekend. The hotel is nicely renovated and the staff are freindly. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the shopping complex and most of the place of interest. I will definately stay in this hotel during my next trip.

Fantastic room with very nice decor. spacious and very clean. Breakfast served offers variety of foods to choose from. Nice restaurants within.
Location is of high standard. Rates at the time of booking is reasonable. Management of taxis need to be improved. Ensure that customers dont need to wait for long - very inconvenient! I enjoyed the decor of the room, cleanliness and friendly staff of the hotel. Close to historical places and good to shop locally. Enjoyable local foods and good shopping centres.

Great Japanese Buffett. Only RM70++ perperson. Good variety and fresh food.
Hotstone massage for half an hour is good enough to rejuvenate. Noisy due to location facing main road. Window should be double glazing. Is a convenient location for those who do not have transport. Is a walking distance to all the tourist spot. A newly completed Pahlawan mall is huge with multi choices of tenants. By the time walking to the end of the mall will be reaching to the Malacca Famous Fort. If to choose not to walk and have an experience on trishaw there are few waiting for your in front of the Hotel Gate. Remember if to choose a quite night perhaps can request for room not facing the main road.
Hotel Feature Tip : Must try the hotstone massage after a tired day.
