Good and clean.
Good location near shopping area and food.
Good service.
Can be quite noisy due to heavy traffic.
The hotel has a good location in the city near amenities and shopping area. Has a very good Peranakan (Nonya)Restaurant on the 3rd floor in the hotel. Always made a point to eat at the restaurant on every visit to Malacca. Took a drive to a hot spring near by Gadek Hot Spring near Alor Gajah, about 30mins drive.
Restaurant Tip : Visit the Nonya Restaurant in Equatorial.
Very good Authentic Nonya Food.

Customer-oriented, friendly and approachable hotel personnel
No access card to be used in lift to hotel rooms (may be a security issue) A bit too cold for the swimming pool water (may not be too good an experience)
Hotel Equatorial Malacca is in a centralised location, near 2 shopping centres, Palawan and Makhota, within walking distance from Jonker Street (where there are plentiful of eateries and souvenirs to be purchased) and places of interest e.g. St Paul's Hill.
The exterior of the hotel looks grand and welcoming with the warm lightings lighted up in the evening. The interior of the room (superior room type) looks spacious with adequate facilities.
The hotel staff makes the hotel stay a pleasant one with their good customer service.
Overall, it has been a pleasant experience staying in the hotel.

swimming pool, and daily clean rooms
only four elevators, have to wait some times
We have stay some days, have asked for a additional bed, we were put on a waiting list but if you don't ask for it we never hear about it again. 'basic' room is okay to stay for two, daily cleaning, 2 bottles of water, towels perfect housekeeping. Swimming pool, is perfect for children, large some different kind of levels, but never deeper then 1.2 meter. To extend be aware of the price per day, weekend price is higher.
Restaurant Tip : Next to the hotel lobby there is a outside restaurant with perfect pizza!
You can also have a small walk on the other side of the mall you can have perfect local food.

Clean and spacious room. Secure carpark with security post. Good vicinity to the two main shopping malls and the historic attractions as well.
Lousy band at the lounge. No bar at the swimming pool.
The hotel should invest in a good liveband as there isn't much nightlife in Melaka. There isn't any cab in sight and thus, guests will more likely stay at the lounge for a drink.
Restaurant Tip : Do not bother queueing up for the A Farmosa chicken rice cos the staff are rude an frankly speaking, the chicken rice is not any better than any ordinary stores in singapore. Don't take the trishaw too. They will rip you off with different price at your destination.

Good location, lovely pool, clean, spacious, good value.
We stayed at the Equatorial as we had a great deal and it was convenient for our bus trip from Singapore. The hotel is in walking distance from all the major attractions and is close to the mega mall. However, if you want a more traditional place head towards Jonker Walk area. We did not eat at the hotel as we had been warned it could be expensive and there are numerous good places to eat nearby. We did however really enjoy the cakes from the patisserie in the hotel lobby! The hotel pool looked lovely but was unfortunately too cold to enjoy. The room itself was spacious and very clean. The staff were pleasant too. I would definitely recommend the hotel to a friend.

Great location, attentive and friendly service.
Fitness center that is not up to hotel standard.
Equatorial Malacca has great location and attentive & friendly service. Food served at all its restaurants is at par with Kuala Lumpur hotels of similar standard.

Very cozy hotel. Staff are friendly. Its located beside the mega mall and Carrefour. A lot of nice food around within walking distant including the famous Heng ball chicken rice. Inside the hotel, the Noya Paranakan restaurant serve very good curry and spicy food. Car park under the hotel is very safe. There is a security at the exit and you will need your hotel room card to enter and exit. Guest park free.
The pillow was very lousy. Not comfortable. The air con in the room is very noisy.
Overall experience its a good stay and good trip throughout the 2 days. Keep it up.
Shopping Tip : Very nice and cheap staff at the mega mall. There is a Thai massage which is a must to try just by the entrance of the mega mall at B1. Cheap and good. Relax after a hard day, shopping.

The swimming pool is very nice !!
I enjoy to swim at their pool very much, the pool size is big enough and let you and your family can swim and relax espeically back from shopping or sightseeing. But the housekeeping likes to ring the door bell for asking room cleaning at early morning about 9~10am, it's quite disturb for us.
Hotel Feature Tip : don't miss the chance to swim at the pool.

front service was very efficient. room was clean and neat. distance to carrefour was a stone's throw from the hotel. car park security was excellent.
perhaps the hotel can run free shuttle buses for hotel guests to bring us to areas of interest such as christ church or jonker street at different intervals.
This is my first time using Agoda to do hotel bookings. I must say it is very efficient and effective. The whole transaction took a lot faster than other sites. The best thing is the confirmation was even quicker than expected. I will use Agoda again for my future trips. Thumbs up Agoda!
Nightlife Tip : Thinking of going to a pub? The lounge at the lobby area is excellent. Great entertainment. nice crowd and the price is reasonable.

Excellent location as the shopping mall is just next to the hotel. As traffic can be quite bad around this area, it helps that the shopping malls are of walking distance.
Unfortunately our hotel room faced a school and it was quite noisy in the morning with prayers and raising of school flag.
Overall the hotel was excellent in terms of service and location. With a carpark in the basement levels, one need not worry about buying parking coupons or illegal parking. Shopping malls are of walking distance, so no need to drive or take cab. Ask for rooms facing away from the school though, as it can be noisy in the morning.

The mall is just a few steps away from the hotel and makes it very convenient to shop and dine. Also, Jonker Walk is within 10 minutes' walk by walking through the open air carpark in front of the hotel.

The room was high enough for a fantastic panoramic view of the township and quite comfortable. The hotel is located within walking distance of two shopping centres.
The fact that breakfast was additional to the room pushed the total price up to a city hotel.
Melaka is a fascinating place to visit with mixed cultures steeped in history and well worth a visit . The hotel is ideally located with plenty of cabs and pedal carts for the traveller to explore the area. We walked a fair bit and discovered some interesting sights on our journey. The hotel staff were courteous and friendly and the rooms ere very clean. Good hotel.
Shopping Tip : Two big shopping centres just around the corner.
