my family was given a warm welcome reception by the staff at the 21st floor club member check-in counter. The staff behind the counter were very friendly, helpful in answering our enquries and handled our check-in process professionally and speedly. In less than 10 minutes, we were given the key and led by one the service staff to the room.
The ocean view from our hotel room was stunning. We felt at home.

Lovely hotel

the hotel is located not far away from jonker street which is about 15 minute walk. the room we boked was quite big, clean and with a very confortable bed.
there are ample parking lots underground and we feel that our motorcycle is safe to park within the hotel.
the room was a little expensive but only for 2d1n was perfect.

Old Hotel in need of Spruce Up

Arrived at the hotel with expectations because of the price I paid for a night's stay. However, I found the hotel to be way past it's prime, the lobby has the smell of aging carpets that need to be replaced. The room's furnishing is old and the cushions lining the bay window had signs of old stains that could not be rid of. Puts me off from wanting to sit at the bay window seats. The bed was far from comfortable and the hotel does not provide free wifi at all, not even at the lobby.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you need to use wifi, just a stone's throw away is a MacDonald outlet. You could use the free wifi provided at this fast food joint without any purchase too!

1. check-in was ok..
2. the staff who helped bring the luggage to my room was quite rude..
3. all the lights in my room were on and normal for a short while, and then suddenly they went off, went on, went off, went on repeatedly non-stop, which was pretty terrifying. i called the front desk to change a room, but they just simply said that my room type were fully occupied and they would send a technician to check.. after waiting for half an hour, no one came and i got quite angry with those scary lights though i already kept the door open.. so i called the front desk again telling them i want to leave and asking for a refund, only by then they agreed to change a room for me. they didn’t mention the room type but when i arrived to the new room it was much smaller like only half of the size of the previous one - and i think that was very unfair to the money i paid.. if i was the management, i would definitely have done a upgrade instead of a downgrade - it is not the customer's fault at all but the hotel..

Simple 5 star hotel

Drove up to Melaka & stayed at Equatorial for 3 days 2 nights... Hotel looked old outside but they modern looking rooms after they refurbished most of the rooms early this year... Worth the money paid & location of hotel is good... Walking distance to Dataran Pahlawan,Mahkota Parade & other historical places of interest... An automatic choice of hotel for me whenever I visit Melaka... Ample parking lots available & you need not worry about your car while you are not at hotel... Friendly reception staffs... Fast check in & check out

Great location but poor toilet maintenance

Stayed for 2 nights and the one of the toilet lights was flickering and the shower tap was faulty.The lights were replaced after a few reminders while we had to live with the faulty shower tap for the rest of our stay.

Great service and courtesy.
Furnishing is a bit old and classical but not bad.
