Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Hotel need Renovation
Proximity To Mahkota Parade
5
The hotel has been around for a long time. The rooms are in need of at least some upgrading and maintenance if not renovation. The staff seemed new and were not very well trained. We were told at check in that there were no request for non-smoking and large beds although it was on our booking. We just took the room they offered. However, the telephone and the power point at the work desk in the room wasn't working. In other hotels, the room would have been put "out of order". We informed the front desk in the morning before we went out for the day only to discover when we returned that nothing had been done. Many phone calls and 2 trips from maintenance later resulted in an offer to change rooms way past midnight. We declined and woke up to an offer of free breakfast n late checkout as we were checking out.
At least they tried.
Bell desk people were very pleasant and very knowledgable and helpful with enquirers and advice. A plus.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Jonker Street in the weekend is packed. Grab a taxi and pay between RM15-20 between Mahkota Parade n Jonker st, it's easier,
Try local food at Jonker street but there's plenty of good food in Malacca.

Great Location with nice room
It's minutes to shopping malls and walking distance to Jonker Street
7.7
The hotel is very near shopping malls and within walking distance to coffeeshops and restaurants. The walk to jonker street takes about 10 mins.Room is clean and beds are comfortable. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. My only gripe about the hotel is that you have to pay for Wifi.
Overall I would say I am quite satisfied with my stay there.

Comfortable hotel besides old town Malacca
7.3
The hotel is located just beside the old street and heritage area, surrounded by many shops and restraunts, which makes it very convenient for travellers. Hotel equipment is average. Service is okay too.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Additional RM2 will be charged for heritage by government.

Good location, next to shopping mall
Comfortable king size bed, sound proof ok hence quiet.
9.3
Fast room services like safe box not working, need air freshener. But no free wifi.If you want free wifi, go to McDonald and Starbucks (no password). Hotel wifi coast RM25/day . Free carpark parking (3 level) with security, use the door entry card will do. Expect traffic jams due to lots of one way street.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Jolker Street night market is on Saturaday only and no smoking area too. TRu chicken rice and 13th states coffee / foods.
Cheap foot reflexology (with bed) and foot massage (with hot herbal tub wash before massage ) at Phoenix from 11am to 7pm daily at Melaka Raya 3 just behind Fennix Inn (opposite Hotel Equatorial). Next to it a Chinese coffee shop which sell seafoods and big crabs at night only. For weak stomach, try not to drink home made drinks like barley and honey lime. Buy can drinks is safer. Taxi drivers (yellow) that don't use meter tends to be over charge like RM $20 per trip. New blue taxi used meters.Famous Capital satays opens ta 5pm but long Q due to 8 tables inside the shop only.
