booked apartment with two bedroom. furniture is old but overall clean. getting around is easy if u drive just mins away from major shopping mall but if not advisable to walk as traffic is bad

rooms are rather old, need maintenance. this apartment needs to be upgraded. viarity of breakfast is good, from local to western.

but got tired lack lustte room. Staff on reception too busy (chinese new year)..bar staff too busy talking to serve. tariff to high for service we received. Long walk to old town.. ...But restsurant very good. Great pool.

Old Apartment
Near Malacca's tourist attaraction

It was a last minute decision to stop by Malacca for 1 night from our 4 days trip to Kuala Lumpur. We chose Mahkota Hotel bcos it is conveniently located at the heart of the city where shopping ctr and tourist attractions are. Also they have a pool with a slide that my 4 year old loved so much. We have booked the 1 room apartment bcos it was the only room available. When we reached there, it was disappointing! We were givn the room on the 1st floor. The lift to the apartment reminded me of the 1 room flat that i used to live in when i was little. It was scary! When we opened the apartment door, my heart sank. The apartment looked so creepy. Its like we have been brought back to the past. The whole decor was very 70's. It is small. The floor tiles lining were black frm mildew. Toilet sink pipe dripping whenever we used the tap making the toilet wet. The bathtub has no edging that whenever we shower the water will splashed out. Even with the shower curtain drawn!
It was a horrible stay and thank God it was just for a night.For the same amt that i paid for my KL hotel room, this is really not worth it!

Hotel with bad aircon
The aircon is not working and they refuse to send you a fan

Please forgo this hotel. Regretted staying there, service was bad, the apartment aircon was not werking, in both our apartments. They place a water dispenser at the walkway with no safety feature meaning the water can be tampered with, serious this hotel is terrible.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Location wise, its walking distance to the many attractions u can just park your car and again walk onnyour feet to go to places... Food is great... They have a masage spa at basement which provide freat service and cheap...u can get a young massuer to give u full service, which is really great.
