Nice Colonial Style Hotel

Hotel is located 20mins aways from Malacca main attraction, Jonker Street and 15mins walk to Malacca River cruise.
Not so bad though as you can enjoy quite time.
Breakfast is not really a buffet, except milk cereals, breads, and 2 main dishes, the rest gotta order by their menu, taste good.
I wish I could stay longer to enjoy hotel's spa,but it was fully booked due to peak season.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Takes 20Mins walk to Jonker street, if weather is good..it's fun to stroll along the river

Beautiful Old Colonial Style hotel .

We received a very warm welcome and our rooms were ready although we checked in early. The rooms are beautiful and the service first class. We ate our dinner in the dinning room in the evening and the meal was good with good service. The hotel is in a convenient location but not a wonderful view or beautiful surroundings. The hotel has plenty of free parking and it is possible to walk along the river into town which is very interesting. It takes around half an hour and can be quite hot. There is a monorail but we couldn't work out where and when it ran. There is a small pool with a few sunbeds to cool off after a hot day but not really recommend for lazing around all day or suitable for children to play in for a whole day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Malacca is a very interesting town with lots of historical places to visit. It can become very crowded with coach parties in certain places. However the hotel is a cool sanctuary away from the bustling crowds.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Old hotel with a wonderful lobby, library and restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. Location is not great, a bit of a walk to the centre but it is definitively worth staying.

All things was positive, nothing to regret. We suggest this hotel to see Malacca. The only thing is the position, a little bit far from the city center (but very acceptable:, no more than 10 min by foot)
Hotel Feature Tip:
We read that the hotel organize a guided tour in Malacca with a resident historical internal guide. We didn't try it because we discover it at the end, but i't could be interesting to try it.

i can say that it's one of the best hotel deals in malaysia. we enjoyed outstanding service by all the staffs especially from the reception and room service department. the atmosphere is the best especially for couples going on a honeymoon. the rooms are fantastic with a relaxing bathtub seperated from the shower room. comfortable king size bed and new sets of towel twice a day with bed turn over service serve with local sweets and deserts.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
close by to jonker street in walking distance about 10 - 15 minutes. to enjoy to the full of jonker street, be there between friday night sunday night only. the other evenings are not open but you could still enjoy shopping at the shops around there.
try out the cendol at bibik restaurant at jonker street.
do not miss out the baba nyonya heritage museum guided tour. it's interesting. if you visit the museum without a tour, it's just 10minutes. with a tour, you get to know the history and how the displayed items are related to the culture of baba nyonya people.

hotel is an old building for lounge,libary and reception on ground floor upstairs for large dining room breakfast was well presented from daily menue a selection of pastries and bread waiter service very good.i did not like the toilet and bathroom arrangement with sliding doors opening out to bedroom for this reason i would not stay again but this only my comment others may be happy.distance from jonkers st is some distance away mono rail was not working at time of our visit.
