Nicest hotel I've ever stayed in!
Friendly staff, lovely rooms
9.3
This was our second stay at the Majestic Malacca. We enjoyed it so much a year ago that we came back, this time for a bit longer. The staff are very polite and friendly. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable, all with good views. The location suited us well and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk from the hotel to the markets or shopping malls.

My family loved the breakfast there, especially their freshest of the fresh juice ever!

Walking to jonker's street is reasonable if you know the way...rooms are clean but the beds are single beds only which are rather small but they are heavenly comfortable.

Lovely room and excellent service
the service in this hotel is top notch!

After reading all the reviews, I thought I should give Majestic a shot. After a 4 days 3 nights stay, I realise it was a decision well taken!
I didn't pay astronomical figures to stay in their top suite. Instead, I paid to stay only in their Deluxe room. The room was fantastic and not as small as some has commented. The room cleanliness and size is easily one of the top few hotels tat I've experienced.
The service crew working in the entire hotel is top notch! Excellent service. Best service attitude I've ever experienced. I'll rate the service attitude 6-star!
I utilised their gym as well. I didn't wanna swim as the pool was fairly small. But the gym is pretty well equipped!
My only gripe is the complimentary breakfast that comes with the package. Limted selection and I'm not sure if the restaurant management team is capable of managing more than 6 tables, given their lack of waiters/waiteresses.

Oasis of calm close to the action
the bath, cleanliness, comfort of bed and room, and pleasant staff
9.3
the public spaces are quite small but quaint and very pleasant to be in. the staff are very pleasant and helpful but not at all intrusive. the room was really lovely. and although i am a shower person, i could not wait to get in to that fabulous bath and have a cool soak in the fragrant bath salts provided. the rom was spacious and well furnished, and the bed very comfortable. i enjoyed the view over the river. the breakfast was good, though i was sorry to see a member of staff called away from chatting with a couple of guests. i expect there was other work to be done, but there didn't seem a shortage of staff. the walk to the heritage area is about 12 minutes via the busy road, which has lots of toe stubbing and tripping potential. the walk via the boardwalk alongside the river is longer but very pleasant. however, if walking alone i would avoid the first part (or last, as i walked the route back to the hotel) as it winds away and becomes slightly isolated and uncomfortable. it's quite easy just to slip on or off the boardwalk route via many side streets, except when you get onto the part mentioned. the boat trip along the river was very enjoyable. i also had a treatment as the spa, which was superb. the swimming pool is small, but fine and very clean. i would most definitely go back to the hotel and have recommended it to friends already.

great location with walking distance to jonker street (10 mins) and also with great smiling and helpful staff, those who are driving there, no problem at all because they have a personal carpark with guard on duty to take care of your vehicle (Free of Charge)

Nice hotel with comfort bed, like the standalone bathtub. Great dinning experience, very good food but service a bit slow on the day we went.

breakfast - quality of the food were bad. hashbrown were overcook and greasy. beef bacon were dried. on the table stand menu stated you will be served a bread basket, cut fruits & coffee & tea. but i think it was more like self serviced.
we saw the a la carte at the lobby bar. pasta on the menu cost the price is ridiculous !! are you serving lobster or truffle in your pasta?
apart from the above we love the hotel. we went to casa del rio we reckon they have more to offer. but i am sure it would not give much impact to you guys.

we stayed 13 and 14 of august at this lovely and surely best hotel in melaka. lovely and spotlessly clean rooms, pretty bathroom - imaculate. the staff is very friendly. noteworthy is bill at at the reception: extremely professional and very knowledgeable. we had dinner at the restaurant and can be recommended for good food and nice service. the staff at the spa is very nice. the attractions is just 10 mins walking or by the boat cruise ship which passes 2 mins walk from the hotel.
all in all a most pleasant hotel with nice by-gone-era features.
