Good hotel with great service

The hotel was great for the value, rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Service was impeccable being very fast once called. The breakfast spread buffet is ample and of great quality. The staff there as well tries his best to meet your needs.
Location wise it was easy enough to reach without having much traffic to face while being a good 15mins walk from the main merchant street which makes it easy to reach without having to face huge traffic and parking problems.
Overall highly recommended by us.
Shopping Tip:
If you like shopping then use this hotel as a base to walk to the city center and rent a taxi to go back home with your shoppings. It's worth it as avoiding traffic issue and their stress as well as finding a parking spot.

Wonderful hotel with excellent service

Hotel look abit dated and it's location is way off from the city centre, but comparing among many hotels available in Malacca, truly, one can feel the difference once you check into the room. We have room facing the city with full viewing pleasure through the full size window. It is quite a view. The service of the staff are very nice, especially to converse in English is a plus. The breakfast menu is plentiful, much much better than what I have come to expect of Malacca's hotel buffet.
Hotel Feature Tip:
there's no free parking, it is 3rm per entry.

Lovely hotel with Great location

The Hotel is just within walking distance to nearby shopping centre is very convenienced, The Traffic is terrifable, throughout the day is jammed everywhere, therefore it is important to find a hotel near to shopping mall.
Travel tip:
The swimming pool water is very cold

Great Location but hotel needs upgrading

I actually booked 2 Junior suites and 1 room on club floor. So after I am done with my check in for the junior suites, front desk asked me to proceed to club floor for the club room check in. They should have checked my booking and asked me to proceed to club floor to do ALL my check in instead of having me go up & down to do separate check in.
Anyway, the rooms are old but spacious for the junior suites. It need to be upgraded to maintain the reputation of being part of the Marriott family.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The location of this hotel is convenient. It is within walking distance to Jonker street.

overall, i was very satisfied with my stay at renaissance.. location was good, chinatown was within walking distance from the hotel.. buffet spread during breakfast was good and staff was rather friendly..

A bit of a walk to center of town, but really not too far - especially after a large meal it was nice to walk it off on the way back to the hotel. Very decent gym, large pool, had excellent massage in spa.

Wonderful stay with family - connecting rooms.
Kids liked the X'mas decoartion at lobby. Plus the great swimming pool. Room with complimentary breakfast - variety & tasty foods.
