Good location but hard for good sleep

This hostel is run by a friendly Chinese famliy. The location is at the heart of Melaka's tourist center, at the conjunction of Johnker walk and temple street, where most tourists sites are within walking distance. The hostel is clean and well maitained, with free wifi and computer to use. However I did not have good sleep because of the noise in the aisle and the flushing in the shared bathroom.

the nearest heritage town

I stayed here for 1 night. This hostel is supposed to be the nearest to the heritage town in Malaka as well as night market (on weekends). This is equipped the most needed stuffs for a hostel. The price is right. It is quite easy to get a nice restaurant with local delicious food from this hostel.

The hotel overall is good, the place and room is clean, free wifi, free Internet Access, air-conditioning, very good location which is just at Jonker Street, ease to access to attraction places by walking, reasonable price for breakfast,the only backdraw is sharing toilet which i'm not used to.

Hostel (not hotel), not hygience and small room

it looked clean. but the real fact is not a clean hostel.
they didn't change the blanket or bed sheet after the guest check-out, i guess. this is because when i stayed there second night, those portion of my body ( i slept with long sleeve sleeping clothes ) that without cover, started to feel itchy, and red spot started to spread from my legs, feet etc.
i checked in another hotel 2 days ago, called baba house, and their rate is only rm10 ( or us$3) more expensive than tang house, but baba house is a real hotel, and i get my own bath room, toilet, basin, mineral water, bigger room, clean blanket and bed sheet ( changed after guest check out ), inhouse shoe, tv and so on. i will not come back to tang house anymore, and will not recommend to my friend due to the hygience problem.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walking distance to tourist spots. But suggest to book other hotel nearby.

Not a hygience hostel but location is good
Location is good but there are plenty of hostel around that area

Sharing bathroom, toilet, basin, no TV inside the room, bed sheet and blanket didn't change after guest check out, thin blanket to discourage you on the air con at night, no mineral water, no inhouse shoe.... in short, this is merely a hostel !
Besides, this Tang House is located only 10 feets to main road, so it is kind of noisy to sleep at night. We even hear people singing karaoke at mid night 3am-4am !!! Rediculous and effect our rest/sleep !!
Conclusion is - NO MORE TANG HOUSE if I visit Melaka again !
