this hotel is quite overpriced, considering it is just a 3 stars hotel. although the location is great, there is nothing special about this hotel. the superior room is quite small, and there is no bath tub in the room. there was a water leaking in my bathroom but since i was there for only one night, i was too lazy to call the technician to fix the problem. in addition, the housekeeper did not put any shower foam in my bathroom and i had to use my own shower foam that i brought from home. the selection of breakfast in this hotel is quite ok, but personally i think it is not that tasty. the service during the breakfast is very slow. only 2 staff were present in the breakfast room to serve the foods/clean the tables, hence the service was poor. games room for children is quite nice but poor maintenance. when i turned on the central air-conditioner in that room, there was like snowflakes coming out from the air cond and wet the floor. foods for room service are cheap and quite nice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
For lunch or dinner, go to Tupai-tupai cafe, located at Tunjuk Laut Beach Resort. They serve yummy local foods like fried rice and their asam pedas is very tasty. KFC is located at the jetty to Sibu Island, 5 mins from the hotel.

my 2 kids really love playing in the swimming pool..
really nice beach but during our staying unable to play in the water as the weather not good
highly recommend for relaxing.away from crowd in the city.

The stay was very nice. We reached there without any hurdles like getting lost on the way or things like that. But must say, that this place is way out of the main road, deep in, towards the sea on the East coast of Malaysia. On reaching the resort, it looked marvellous and big. The staff was very kind. The room was well maintained and nicely designed.The balcony of the room had a nice sea view, excellent....i'm very enjoy with my family.... and i relly enjoy it.....thanks

Stayed at Felda Residences to break drive from Singapore to Kuantan. Relaxing.
A 28km detour from the main east coast trunk road and 40+ km from Mersing / Kota Tinggi.
Reception was friendly. Waited for sea facing room to be available.
Popular place for local / Govt organizations seminars, retreats and conferences.
Limited food choices in the hotel and no outside restaurants close by.
Wifi available only in lobby and restaurant.
Housekeeping could be improved.

As usual, we were not disappointed with Felda Residences. The room was big, clean and spacious. The front-desk receptionists were all very pleasant and helpful. Security there is excellent.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We took a 20mins boat ride to nearby Sibu Island to do a bit of snorkelling.

Rooms are new, not crowded

i stayed there over the long weekend during National Day. Despite that resort was not crowded.I can see only 2 other families with children. We had the whole pool to ourselves 99% of the time, save for the time where 2 kids were in the pool.
We asked for pool towel, but the staff said they have none and asked us to use our room towel and they will replaced it after we used it. but upon request the 2nd time,they gave us but reminded us to return it.
Food was OK and cheap in the only restaurant in the resort. Western food was a let down, so try the local food like the mee stuff.
The sea was nice to look at, but the brownish colour + revews on the sandflies turned us off.
The recreation room is closed, Karoeke room is closed, most facilities are closed. it be due to the low occupancy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We booked a snorkelling package to Sibu Island. It was not good. it was a waste of money.It was a long and turbulent ride on a FISHING boat instead of a proper boat that caters to people. And they do not have a proper ladder for us to climb up the boat. Children were feeling seasick. Snorkelling equipment are old and lousy.
The little island was not Sibu Island but one near it. Water was not clear and corals are dying.
The package is definitely not worth it.
