We were heading to Penang for a short weekend food hunting trip. The hotel is located at a very good location, plenty of good parking space just outside of your room (if you're staying on the ground floor). We were given a room near to the end of a quiet eerie long corridor, where we can only make exit using the very long corridor heading back to the reception, where we couldn't get wifi as it was way too far away from the reception area. (there is no exit at the end of the corridor). So we asked for an upgrade to a room near to the lobby where wifi is pretty good. The hotel staff is friendly and attentive. And you can easily get access to the useful brochures near the reception on where to get good local food.

Nice place...nostalgic

As usual, I've asked for the room with a balcony. A bit suprised that they have renovated the bathroom bit since my last stay. This time they even have an electrical mosquito repellant...good!! Anyway, me and my wife enjoyed our stay in the Hotel. The room is cosy and nostalgic...love it.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Make yourself a cup of tea...and have it on the balcony.

Nice hotel but a bit smelly in the room

A nice hotel in Melaka and full of the heritage feeling. Friendly staff, and nice breakfast provided. A big car park with security guard. But the room is filled with some weird smell. Average good for traveler to stay.

Room facilities should improve as we noticed the kettle/ boiler rusted. Cleanliness. Besides,room condition, especially toilet's floor should have maintain well.

the location of hotel is nearby to gurney drive, with walking distance there are a lot of restaurant, river fish restaurant opposite hotel and tong pak fu dessert is just around the corner. the hotel room is quite big enough, only the corridor is too long. this hotel with swimming pool but the size is quite small. by the way, i will return to this hotel on my next visit.

Surrounding hotel a lof of restaurant like taiwanese food, river fish and TONG PAK FU dessert house. Hotel breakfast is not bad. This hotel located nearby to gurney. On my next visit to penang i will choose 1926 heritage again.

Enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable even 1 night at The Stay (could easily have stayed longer). Central location and close to new shopping mall and restaurants. Rooms are very modern, clean and comfortable, and bathrooms excellent - very spacious and love the rain shower. Only one thing to improve is very basic selection for breakfast, perhaps because there were very few people who had breakfast at the hotel. Staff were courteous and helpful, and allowed early check-in without any additional charge. The pool is bigger and just near my room. Easy for those who stay with family and come with children.

Lovely hotel with nice facilities

it is very near to city centre. there are a lot of facilities around, e.g. swimming pool, etc. there are also restaurants available around the hotel for food options. it is strongly recommended for those with vehicles as there are a lot of parking spaces too.
