A very lovely treat!
Loved the welcome drink! Kept asking for more! Staff was very attentive especially Nelson who is married to an Ilocana. Rooms are the loveliest. Loved it!

A lovely and relaxing stay!
The staff is attentive and friendly from the manager all the way to even the Chinese Uncle who does the night watch. The cafe staff are friendly and the American Breakfast is great!

We loved the stay-the place is cosy and it even has a small library which offers books about Penang and others. Good place to relax and even spend a lazy afternoon in-house. Staff is great! Thank you for the good service that made the stay a pleasant experience.

We found 23 Love Lane to be a wonderful stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the location is perfect. The hotel has been restored lovingly and one feels like they are enjoying a piece of the past with all mod cons. Lots of attention to detail which made the stay just that bit nicer than any other hotel stay. Would highly recommend this hotel as a relaxing and serene place to enjoy a little bit of oldy world Penang.

Definitely the friendly, discreet and generous staff, the large, comfortable decorous bedrooms, public spaces and the peaceful gardens.

We planned to stay 3 nights & stayed 9. In town for a family gathering, made extra special by the warm and generous hospitality of Nelson & his staff. Thank you for everything. From the moment that we arrived & were handed icy, fresh made nutmeg juice we felt at ease. Loved the meticulous restoration and attention to detail in each space - Anglo-Indian architecture, mid century & Chinese antique furnishings and contemporary local artworks. Rooms: huge comfortable beds, Breakfast choices were delicious Malay, Indian, Continental & American, quantities plentiful. Close to everything, but restful haven. Highly recommend.
