Great location at low price
Next to beach, quiet, great room

Took the family room, separate main room which is combined super single bed, which make it very big, the other room got 2 single beds. Kids stay at the single beds of course, and there are plenty of space for the kids to run around. Drove to this hotel. A parking tip, don't park your car under the trees overnight, bird droppings. There are many places that you can go from this hotel.

Spacious hotel room with great seaview
The room is unexpectedly big and the facilities are good especially the swimming pool.

When first step into my room, I was surprised with the room size. The room is just too big for its price. The facilities in the room are just adequate. The sea view of the hotel is amazingly great.
The only thing that I am not satisfied is the sanitary level of room and toilet. There are many hair found on the room floor and the toilet a bit smelly when I first entered.
Nightlife Tip:
Can go to the hard rock hotel at night for the live night band and cooling beer. It just right next to the Bayview hotel. The night band starts at 10pm.

The buffet breakfast was good with a good spread of asian and continental fares. However, room had a musky odour and linen was a little sticky to the feel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Hotel is near to the night market and the beach.

Great Hotel but the Seaview I got was only partial

Everything is good for family activities. I drove there so, I still need to drive up a bit for the night market.
The only thing is that I booked for a Seaview room, and got only partial view. should have refund me or something.

One of the bullet lift was out of service, hence long wait for lift services. There was a music jazz event with load music till midnight. Rest was disturb, otherwise an ejjoyable stay. would like to recommend upgrading especially the room toilet and dining area.

We first stayed at The Bayview Resort Hotel 5 years ago and thought it was excellent. With those fond memories we went back there again but also because the hotel was the venue for the Penang Jazz Festival. I'm afraid it was a big disappointment. The place is in urgent need of refurbishment. We found the rooms old and dingy. The shower had mould in the corners, the toilet flush leaked, the refrigerator was dirty from the previous occupants --- spilled and dried coke etc. Our room was a Hillview suite and the noise from the traffic below was intolerable. We requested a change of room and they put us on the 9th floor from the 2nd. It made no difference. So unless you don't mind being woken at 06:00 hrs every morning avoid the Hillview side. The solo pianist in the lobby was appalling. They did have an excellent singer and pianist but obviously they decided against paying them a decent wage and hired their present musician, a chinaman, with absolutely no feel for the music he was playing. If you went to purgatory you would be met with his sound.
All in all a very disappointing experience; and while we certainly will visit Penang again we won't be returning to the Bayview. Thank goodness for the jazz festival which saved the weekend.

Very nice clean rooms and we took the deluxe partial sea-view room. Good service too and clean beach! Would definitely stay there again during my next visit to Batu Feringgi. There's water sports and other activities like riding ponies on the beach.
Restaurant Tip:
There's plenty of restaurants just 5-10 mins walking distance from the hotel and a 24 hours McDonalds if needed ;) You can party at Hard Rock Cafe next door or walk out to a beach-side club called Mansion 69.

I understand it's the full house period but a prestige hotel shouldn't make these mistakes. The underneath of bath rubber mat was full of tangled hairs from previous owner. It was overturned and draped on the side of the tub upon check in so definitely the Housekeeping would have seen it. Only 1 of the 2 bathrooms were provided with shower foam and shampoo. The toilet roll was less than a quarter but was not changed although a new one was placed nearby doesn't make up for it. The 2 pairs of rubber slippers consists of 1 right and 3 lefts! There used to have a postcard available in rooms but not this time. Unfortunately the hotel personnels didn't know that it's no longer provided. The reception informed us that the postcard is in the drawer, if not available, request from Housekeeping, Housekeeping asked us to get from the Bell Counter which then told us no such thing exists! Why put a Pos Malaysia mail box in the lobby when a postcard is so unattainable even at a price? The bell boy and the luggage trolley dissappeared from our view for at least 10 minutes during check in and check out becaused they didnt use the guest lifts. What if something got missing? Besides the above mentiioned, everything was satisfactory if not excellent.
Hotel Feature Tip:
A place where you can unwind and relax. You can even stay a day or two within the hotel and not get bored as there's so many things to do for everyone.
