Spacious room, private beach and nice garden atmosphere situated in between pool and beach.

a bit far from Penang International Airport, i.e. about 50 mins drive.

A recommend to stay for an easy going atmosphere and relaxing holidays. Breakfast has wide selections of food. Booking via agoda does ensure special priviledged rate.

This resort is in a beautiful location on the beach. Beautiful gardens with sunlounges under the palms. Large rooms and king size beds well furnished

Drinks in resort are expensive

We had a lovely holiday at the Bayview. The facilities were great as was the breakfast with plenty of international variety.Only a short stroll into the night markets and back. Will definately stay there again.

Nightlife Tip : The Sunset Bar on the beach was great

the pool, watersport, foot massage

king size bed shouldnt be a 2 queen size bed combined together. I would prefer one king size bed rather than 2 queen size bed

The hotel stay is very value for money, and have a good facilities like watersport, foot massage and the pool whereby you can enjoy the cocktail at the pool side while you were swimming

clean hotel with most modern facilities. large rooms with equally large bathrooms. quiet rooms with little outside noise. well presented buffet breakfast with many choices. professional staff

no outside beverages or food permitted in rooms or hotel grounds. bar prices huge too expensive to entertain pool side.

a comfortable and modern hotel designed to cater for couples and families rather than budget travellers. has good gardens, pools and surrounds with curtious and friendly staff.

Hotel Feature Tip : massive breakfast selection and close to night markets

reasonable price, nice breakfast, beautiful garden

the carpet do not look clean and a bit far from the night market

Though the hotel is located a bit far from the night market, I had a good stay at at the Bayview hotel. It has a wonderful garden that you can sit and relax. The hotel has a unique style of bar in the swimming pool that you can enjoy the beers without walking out of the pool.

large room

cant think of any

i was pleasently surpised when I checked in.Not only the staff is courteos, she even upgraded me without me asking considering the next day is a public holiday. The staff in this hotel greets and smiles.the lobby is big, hotel is clean, ample parking, big rooms, good breakfast, good facilities.in short, what you can think of for a quiet and relaxing holiday in the sun.coming from a well travelled man like me, you can trust this review. Prices are very good with Agoda, and you get good value with this hotel.Dining in in Marco Polo chinese restaurant was very affordable.During twice of my stay there, i have not heard of anyone complaining.try the malay traditional massage run by a couple near the beach.very good and cheap.I have stayed in many other hotels in Penang, this one is well worth the money.Kudos to this hotel, I will recommend to everyone

Travel tip : try the night market

The proximity of Bayview to really nice restaurants catering to fussy teenage children was a blessing.

Service - what service!

The Bayview Beach Resort is located at the end of the 'night market' strip of Batu Ferrenghi Beach. The ten minute walk to the shops was made extremely entertaining by the banter of Sumi, the Pancake Man. Sumi will surely have his own website soon. He twirls pancakes like pizza makers do with their pizza bases. The night markets were good value - however we also got told to visit the Thai Markets where the locals do their shopping. The Thai Markets are a taxi drive away - and probably best to get the driver to wait while you shop - ours did for no extra charge. The markets are located just up the road from the Coffee Bean Shop and have lots of copy handbags, watches, wallets, shoes, backpacks, suitcases (we ended up buying a suitcase to bring our purchases back to the hotel in)! We travelled with two teenagers who are fussy eaters - we highly recommend two restaurants in the Batu strip - Ferrenghi Garden (upmarket but not snobby) and Fantasy Restaurant (the friendliest staff and delicious food).

Shopping Tip : The Batik factory not far from the hotel is well worth a visit - no machinery - all hand crafted. Also the butterfly farm and Tropical Fruit Farm were both great interesting visits.

Pool, breakfast and people!!!

A bit dated and the lifts are a pain!!!

The bayview beach hotel is a pleasant and tidy hotel with helpful staff and a first class pool area which has lovely views over the sea and mountains. The breakfast is first class also with an array of delights to chose from. the cafe across the road is also a cheap and easy way of eating of an evening without the hassle of waiting around in bigger places. i would recommend this hotel to anybody with small children as the pool is perfect for the little ones.

The room is spaceous. Good value for money.

The breakfast dinning room is sometime too crowded.

The hotel is well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beach and water sports are near and convenience. Despite the hotel has a short distance from the food market & hawker store in Batu Ferringhi, the cost of bus at RM1 to take you there within a few minutes is acceptable.

Travel tip : Beware of the low frequency of bus passing by on weekend & holidays. Only take the Rapaid bus route# 101 if you want to avoid being bit by buds & mosquitto in the very old bus (route# 1-1).

Well space out hotel by the beach and has adequate facilities for a beach hotel getaway. The staff are very polite and friendly especially the ones at the CELCIUS Pub.They make you feel at home

Poor internet connectivity. Was told that because of congestion and line break down.Overall cleanliness can be improved further and place need some scrub down to maintain a first class type facilities

The hotel is located probably too far down the stretch of the strip which has many other hotels. The good thing is it provides a long stretch of beach which is private however the road end of the hotel is without much.Would have been better but also has its merits as its not as congested. For good reach to seafood restaurant is only about 10mins further down and less than 5 minutes up to where streets shopping, food outlets are available serving from local food to international cuisine. If looking for quiet place with some light entertainment i would certainly reccommend it.

Restaurant Tip : Fantastic seafood at the restaurant End of The World located about 10mins drive down. Serve delicious lobster bake with cheese and value for money meal.

Our second time at this hotel. Same great service and clean rooms.

The location being a little far from Long Beach food hawker stand and night market.

When we decided to return to Penang, we booked again at the Bayview. Goof value for the money. Nice, clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. And the best variety breakfast buffet, which was included in the price. And the biggest king size bed we've ever slept in and a nice size room.

direct attach to the beach is very nice location

The building and bed is older.

I enjoyed the environment here but the room facilities is a little bit older. I would like to come again if there have any good promotion price from Agoda.

Hotel Feature Tip : Hope the hotel can renovate to become new.

The buffet breakfast is excellent, the swimming pool is huge and the gym is good. Although the hotel is a bit old, the facilities are excellent.

For the money you pay, I can not think of any thing negative.

This hotel is a bit old but the facilities are excellent. It has a huge swimming pool and a gym. The buffet breakfast is excellent. The hotel staff were very courteous. It has a number of restaurants, spas etc. Local tours and the ferry ride to Langkawi Island can be organized from the hotel. There is direct access to the beach. There are restaurants, banks, internet cafes etc located close by. I can recommend this hotel for any budget traveler. It is real value for money.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There is a public bus service starting right from the hotel, which is quite cheap. You can get to Georgetown by bus and enjoy the facilities.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Pool great, breakfast good

The rooms were a bit tired. Had mould on the bathroom ceiling.

We had a really good stay at this hotel. We have two young children and requested ajoining rooms, which we were given which was great. The rooms are really big with the biggest bed you have ever seen. The children loved the pool where they spent most of the day. The food around the pool and the breakfast in the morning was really nice. The only downside for us was the condition of the rooms. These were kept really clean, but they were just a bit tired. Overall we had a really good stay.
