hotel is located right outside the unesco protected part of george town. very convenient to walk to sites and local eateries. would recommend renting a moped for exploring other parts of town.

We were a group of 5 adults and had taken one double room with attached bathroom and had to take a triple room with shared bathroom as that's what was available although we were hesitant initially. However, we were pleased with the property when we stayed. There were a number of clean shared bathrooms and although our first night was fully booked, there was no single time that any of us had to wait in order to use the bathroom. Wonderful customer service and very helpful staff.

stayed in a 2 queen-bedded room, with shared common bathroom, which are clean. it's not a big hotel, it's considered small! well, it's located in town, strategic place to sight seeing and good food!
Hotel Feature Tip:
the room is a bit hot in the afternoon, but well, you're not staying in all day long, go visit around the town!
you're not allowed to run on the 1st floor, it's wooden flooring, it's heritage! so be considerate for the other stay-inners.

Very good and lovely customer service, concerned with cares.
Very quiet in stay, great place to rest.
However, with a little small sized in room, still possible to accommodate 2 persons.
Free wifi, that is a great thing for travellers to check information.
Just a little dangerous since it is located in the old street of penang, becareful when walking at night, overall comfortable stay.

The wonderful hotel very well located in the middle of historical sights. Very well kept. Loved the design a lot. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are superclean. The best value for the money. We'll be back.

Good service but the bathroom is horrendous

A minimalist all white heritage hotel. Conveniently located as walking distance to eateries and shopping mall. Hotel staff are helpful and attentive. Requested for a pail and mug to bath my toddler upon check-in and these were placed in our room the next day upon returned from our day trip.
Hated the bathroom - the water pressure was terribly weak. Once you flushed the toilet you can't bath immediately as the water pressure was so weak that the rain shower refused to work. A normal shower head should be a better option to ease the inconveniences and frustration. The bathroom floor is also slippery when wet. My 5 yr old slipped and fell while using the toilet. And to make matter worst, the toilet got choked on the 2nd night of our stay during mid-night !
To sum it up - the hotel staff make up for the shortfall in the bathroom construction. Will have 2nd thoughts of returning for stay again.
