The check-in process was very smooth and fast. The hotel is centrally located with plenty of good cheap food stalls with a vast variety within walking distance. Very convenient to grab a taxi to any location. They have good conducted tours for visitors. A detailed map is also provided free of charge. The breakfast spread has a good variety Chinese continental etc.
Ideally, centrally located. Comfortable room size with all basic facilities.

- Nightlife Tip : Plenty of pubs within 5 minutes walking distance.

The hotel has a good location. It is near a market and restaurants, and near the nightlife. But the room is too small so we are uncomfortable to stay there for a long term.
Good location, good food, clean
The room is too small, no toothbrush
- Shopping Tip : There's a market where you can find souvenir of Penang if you walk to the right of the hotel.
No frills

If you are looking for a charming hotel, this is not it, but it's functional and clean and efficient. The pool was out of order during our stay but frankly after seeing the pool, I was not very disappointed as it is tiny and its surroundings are dingy. The breakfast buffet was quite good though. The hotel was very busy with groups, so lots of action in the lobby but things were quiet on our floor. Overall a pretty ordinary but reliable hotel.
Right next to heritage area

Was there for 2 nights, got nice view of room, ample parking, security- good & the food was just o.k for me.However, there are some unfriendly staff at the cafe, very hard to find a place to sit for breakfast.
Location wise- Excellent
It's near to the famous food( NASI KANDAR) in Penang
room was quite smelly...
Enjoyed my stay

This hotel is good for tourists because it is very convenient, but if you want to enjoy at the hotel, I won't recommend it.
We could enjoy breakfast with a variety of food.
Room is small and the amenities are not enough.

Try to get a high-floor room on the harbour side. My room was on the 16th floor with a terrific view of the harbour, and--great surprise--of the Chinese New Year's fireworks show. Don't bother with the handkerchief-sized "pool" or the little sauna on the third floor--depressing and a bit dingy.
- Restaurant Tip : Sup Hameed's Malayan-Indian cafe a few doors down from the Cititel has some amazing local food--great roti canai, and a delicious squid curry.
Unpleasant stay!
